I like this sticky thread a lot!! !! :D *feels joyous*

I wish I could respond to every work here...they are all great!

I heartily agree that art is therapeutic...I feel like I healed a lot already...

"*giggle*"?

I like Kipo out of all my characters, she's awesome.

*giggle* means happy smile with giggly sound...a little shy as well...at least for me...:)

Kipo seems like a lovely character!! !! :D Your characters are special...I enjoy looking at them...

[insert Kipo image here]

There seems to be a lot of love between Koise and Clarrissa...They are a sweet couple...

[insert Koise and Clarrissa Image here]

But sometimes they may pout...What are they pouting over in this picture?

[insert the other Koise and Clarrissa image here]

Is it OK that I display your works? If you don't like it, let me know...

Don't worry, I actually love it that people would put my art up for whatever reason. The reason why they aren't on best of terms in that picture is because at that point in the story, they had an argument. But don't worry, they'll fix it by the end of Section II's book. Interesting thing about that drawing is that the wall was originally just a straight ledge, I made it that wall later on (you can see Koise's tail floating as a result).

Koise, Kipo, Bob and Marilyn are already in my Outcast Fanfic Choose-an-adventure thread in Roleplaying! It's the same characters in an entirely different universe. Look out for more Outcast characters as the story progresses!

And yes, Kipo's an Aspie.

Here's some stuff I photographed (too big to scan!) recently, mostly from around age 17-19:

Image
Sunflower in ink

Image
A pretty literal translation of the poem "Weltuntergang"

Image
Print based on an etched plate (the platypus and other objects are from my encyclopedias)

Image
Lots of paints splashed in the sink and then pressing the paper into it, basing the painting on whatever shapes came out. (The bigger version of this has lots of fat angels in light green romper suits riding on 5-legged horses - I had to make them 5-legged because otherwise that would have meant the lead horse was defacating liberally due to an unfortunate brown slash of paint that ended up in the way... had to turn that into a leg)

Image
Painting I did in art therapy ca. age 14-15, using natural paints (it's based on a fairytale about an ugly goose shepherdess)

Image
Another part of the story. They are not dealing drugs, she gives him an emerald box of sorts.

Image
Happy ending to the story - carrots all round by the looks of it ;)

My first somehow serious scirbbles:

I was just playing to learn, so I don't care that things are misaligned, and possibly ugly in some people's eyes. (Including my own)

The art in my avatar was originally done as a "homework assignment" from the psychologist I was seeing at the time. It seems to have attracted some interest! A more detailed image is available if you email me. And yes, there's a lot of mystical imagery in it. My current psychiatrist has been encouraging me to look into some form of self-expression as a way of getting off disability, rather than trying to find a regular job where I would have to deal with all the BS and office politics -- we Aspies seem to get the worst of it!

For others on Social Security disability, it may be worthwhile to look at the Ticket to Work program and contact your state's Rehab Dept. Nevada doesn't exactly have the best social services, but the Rehab Dept. here has already funded two computer artists that I know of. With Ticket to Work, the feds pay for all of it anyway.

By the way, love your stuff Noetic Sunnycat and Ixochiyo_yohuallan! :)

I'm working on designing a deck of Tarot cards.

My son's artwork can be seen here:

He is 4 1/2 and fascinated with paleontology. He is really good at drawing for his age.

I started doing pottery about a year ago. 2 hours a week. THe figure is about 3.5 inches tall, since it's hard to tell in the pic.

wendytheweird : Beautiful!! !! You must be very talented...I studied pottery for several months and I always ended up making small bowls...somewhat confined in an egg...Yours are like fully matured birds spreading their wings out...free and ready to fly...

BigT: The eye is impressive and beautiful....

nitro2k01: I like your red lines...it's like they are saying something...

zaniac: Thank you very much! Your response enlivens my spirit...I like your mandala very much...It is indeed very interesting...I would like to have a chance to see the detailed image...Mandalas are great...was your therapist incorporating Jungian theory into his/her practice?

noetic: Your drawings are lovely!

Aww, yay for art :) this is what I should be doing right now....
I have a ton due on Tuesday morning, and a show coming up....*sigh*

I have some stuff from last semester on my deviantart page! :)

Check it out here, if you're curious.

I don't want to slow peoples' browsers down with huge, cumbersome files.

Here's a small one of an aquatint and chin colle experiment, though:

Image

Yay crows. The chin colle's a little too subtle, and hard to see on the scan... it's easiest to tell in the moon.

So...stuff.

Dear Li...
I visited your website...
I think your art grabs my attention and focus...I like that experience because I feel peaceful when I am focused on something...especially on art...I think it gives me a sense of order...because once I get focused on the art work it becomes alive and I feel like a vast story of life is going on inside it...and I am ready to listen to it...:)
