Well then, embrace it.

I find it so interesting how females love the male mind and males love the feminine form. They are both fleeting in the end tho...

A neurosis is a delusion that is not true. If it is true that you are humble and smart and attractive, then you are probably wrong in thinking that you can't find love.

Psychoanalytical account of neurosis

Quote:
As an illness, neurosis represents a variety of mental disorders in which emotional distress or unconscious conflict is expressed through various physical, physiological, and mental disturbances, which may include physical symptoms (e.g., hysteria). The definitive symptom is anxieties. Neurotic tendencies are common and may manifest themselves as depression, acute or chronic anxiety, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, phobias, and even personality disorders, such as borderline personality disorder or obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. It has perhaps been most simply defined as a "poor ability to adapt to one's environment, an inability to change one's life patterns, and the inability to develop a richer, more complex, more satisfying personality."[6] Neurosis should not be mistaken for psychosis, which refers to loss of touch with reality, or neuroticism, a fundamental personality trait according to psychological theory.

According to psychoanalytic theory, neuroses may be rooted in ego defense mechanisms, but the two concepts are not synonymous. Defense mechanisms are a normal way of developing and maintaining a consistent sense of self (i.e., an ego), while only those thought and behavior patterns that produce difficulties in living should be termed neuroses.

There's a from New Zealand who's posts were funny as hell.

I don't think he comes on WP anymore... :(

Then there's StinkyPuppy, Mak, therange, Aimless and ummmm...can't think of anymore at the moment.

Maybe some will accumulate to my list after I do some scouting. Whoever wins gets the most attractive trophy of the year..Image

That's funny though, someone else said I was a good father after posting something about my son. I must write like a man, whatever that is. I'm kind of neuter IRL.

Yeah I need to stop assuming everyone's male and start checking profiles..

I've had people mistake me on other forums as well. In fact I complained about it in Women's Discussion.

I guess I'm so use to many of the posters being male.

The reason I'd have to go on personality more than looks is because looks are unreliable if you have face blindness. When I was in high school I had a crush on a guy based on one kind thing that he said to me. Back then I basically equated kindness towards me with attraction towards me. Actually I still have difficulty telling the difference, haha! And I'm basically attracted to anyone who is attracted to me. (So the whole thing's a mess, really!)

So anyhow I couldn't remember what the guy looked like, only the small geometric pattern on his school bag. After following him and his school bag around for a while and after a few minor miracles we finally started dating. And even then I heavily relied on seeing his school bag so I could identify him. I even secretly nicknamed him in accordance with that pattern, lol! Unfortunately eventually he told me how he kept a little black book about people who had wronged him. I don't know if he meant that he would never forgive them or if he actually intended to do them harm. Either way, I decided I didn't want to date him anymore.

Considering there is always more to uncover about a person's personality makes basing a decision on personality also unreliable. Which basically makes the whole love and dating thing unreliable. Sorry if this is pessimistic but I can't trust it.

I also can't handle whatever the love chemicals are that make my whole body sort of quiver. And I hope this never happens to me again because that sort of quivering makes me feel like I'm about to have an epileptic fit. Sorry to wander off the topic - but it's all sort of related isn't it? What we base our attraction on and the effects this has. Also I wish I could be everyone's girlfriend/boyfriend because it's sad that people feel alone - so I don't think I could single anyone out.

OMG, I hardly post anymore; can't believe you thought of me, thanks. I agree though, Tech and AG have my vote. How about Sand too, he's very eloquent? I also like M the purple monkey dishwasher as well for he's a well-thought-out poster. No, I'm not just kissing moderator ass either.
