I haven't heard that statistic about OKCupid before. I know OKCupid made a claim on it's blog that the failure rate of some paying dating sites are that high though. Do you have a reference to that statistic?

The last person I chatted with hasn't gotten back to me because she hasn't logged on since Thursday. Now someone else has sent me a message. It seems like my profile is good enough to get a few replies, although it took a while before I started getting messages from other people. I hope this isn't all for nothing though and I do eventually get a date.

nah... you caught me , I was making a FUD attack against Okcupid. Aspie Affection was paying me to do this.

Desperate websites need desperate measures.

Well that's partial success.

It seems to be. The current person I'm chatting with now seems surprised that I've never actually been on a date before. Do think it was mistake to mention that?

Mmmm, it can suggest that there's something 'wrong' with you. If she's not turned off though, have at it. Someone you can be honest with? Yes please.

I'll see if she replies again.

It seems she logged off 5 minutes before I sent that message. If she is going to reply again it'll be tomorrow.

I've got some good news. I'm still chatting to the same person, asking each other various questions. At what point do you exchange e-mail addresses?

When you feel like it's time. Offer yours to her, and she can use it or not. No biggie.

my friend is dating a girl online but did not get an email address for 3 months, but i think that was too slow. it signalled lack of interest maybe. 1 week would be too fast, if i were in that situation. so how's that for a range? 1 week to 3 months lol

Thanks, I asked her and she said that she would like to have, so I gave it to her. I'll see what happens now.
