Looking 4 a hillbilly aspie girl.
I don't care what a prospective mate looks like on the outside, all that matters is that she is not abusive emotionally. I try to limit it to other Aspies, but if there is an NT who will be able to see that I won't be making a lot of money while I'm going to school full-time, that is just as good.

some people obviously have nothing better to think about other than not giving fat girls a chance. Well I'm glad your lives are so easy guys, they must be if you can be that selective and that prejudiced. Good luck with your shallow, sad, pathetic easy little lives.
Who are you referring to? Clearly it is wrong to be mean to, or insult, or make fun of overweight people.
However, it is reasonable (and not shallow) to be unwilling to date a substantially overweight (or underweight) person.
I vaguely remember you once wrote a rant about how you hate it when women are underweight. I agree. But if you hate it when they are underweight, to be consistent you must also hate it when they are significantly overweight, because both are bad states. If you only hate underweight and think overweight is fine (or vice-versa), then you are being a bit of a hypocrite.
It's not that I hate one and think the other is fine. I just think, like you pointed out, that it is wrong to be mean to people who are overweight, as it is to those who are underweight. My rant on underweight people was partly based on myself. I had an eating disorder and people used to shun me (no one would date me) because I didn't look nice. It's almost like no one wanted to take the time to get to know me based on the way I looked and I found that very hurtful. Plus, in a world where thare is a vast choice of different foods to choose from, there is no need to be underweight (not that I am trying to promote obesity here, I think we should all just eat in moderation). How can someone justify being too thin when there is pleny of access to food? What I did to myself was so very stupid. I just hate seeing others making the same or similar mistakes when you could be leading your life. Overeating, however, is just as bad I will agree as this is just as silly and damaging but in a different way. But as far as getting to know someone or wanting to date someone, it should never be based on weight. I've dated people of all different shapes and sizes. But then I don't really have a specific type. I hope this has clarified some things that may have been misconstrued by my previous post.

That's nice but I think that's a little too idealistic for most people. In reality, most people will select a mate, with at least some emphasis on their physical appearance. If a person isn't attracted to their partner's body type then there'll be a lack of sexual 'chemistry', and an entire aspect of the relationship will be missing.

That is shallow and prejudiced. You are saying that "they're over a certain weight range, so they are instantly not my type"
I make an effort to stay reasonably healthy, fit, and within the healthy weight range. If someone is failing to do the same, then they are not good enough for me. I have standards. Why should I date someone who falls below my standards?
Requiring that a partner be reasonably healthy, fit, and within the healthy weight range is CERTAINLY NOT too much to require, and there is nothing shallow about it.
Shallow is when you refuse to date someone because they do not have your favorite hair color. Sensible is refusing to date someone who is neglecting or abusing their body.
