However, having a male whip his genitals out unexpectedly and unwantingly is most likely simply that; unwanted.
It's the action of forcing the female to view his genitals regardless of her choice to want to do so or not that's ugly; not so much the body part.
Boobs and bums are much less explicit than genitals.

Well, I've seen a lot of flashing videos online, and I simply cannot relate to force in this context. In those videos, most often the female doesn't see anything at all, and when they do, most of them just ignore and leave, and then the video ends because nothing more happens.

So it really comes down to something else: Why can't females that don't enjoy flashing in the West just ignore flashers as they do in Russia? Because Western culture expects females to get offended by flashing.

Then if we look at cat calling and sexual harassment, a completely different picture emerges. These males are actively harassing females, and if they get the opportunity, will continue with physical contact and potentially even rape. Problem is, cat calling is largely legal, and it is expected that women learn to "fend off" these creeps. Why?

Didn't humans start to wear clothes when immigrated out of Africa in order to stay warm in cold days? (or even to protect their skin from sun in desert areas).

I'd guess so, which means that nudeness phobia is not something innate in humans. It's a cultural taboo, nothing else.

If you aren't given an option or choice in if you wish to see a man's gentians or not, and he shows them to you regardless, then IMO that is forcing you to view them. Same would apply for a woman doing this to a man in the same situation.
On a much more serious side of things, that is why 'Indecent Exposure' is a chargeable offence. Here in Australia a man or woman can be charged with Indecent Exposure for urinating in a public space (as in going into an alleyway or a more hidden area) because the law states that exposing your genitals in public or to an unwilling recipient is illegal. A number of years ago a male friend of mine got charged with indecent exposure after a night of having a few too many drinks and wandered up a laneway where he thought he could relieve himself in private without anyone seeing him. The police came around the corner whilst he was relieving himself and he now has an Indecent Exposure charge on his police file.

Yes, that's totally true, primitive tribes still often wander almost naked or even fully naked.

At some point this phobia became a part of the 'civilized world' religions.

This in a nutshell. Context means a lot when it comes to things like this. In another situation, such as when undressing in preparation for sex, any woman's reaction to seeing the guy's penis wouldn't be anywhere close to being grossed out.

Yes, but it is visual only. What about public kissing? That's visual only too, and if you don't like to see when people kiss each other, then they are "forcing" you to view them. Same with public necking. And some women go topless at the beach, and they are "forcing" you to look at their boobs. Not to mention the previously mentioned dick-pics that many women get on dating sites. Surely, they are forcing you to view their genitals, right? And all the online porn that sometimes comes up when you view non-pornographic content as ads.

So, no, I don't think it makes any sense that flashing is illegal when kissing, necking, going topless and sending dick pics online isn't.

I know, but it makes as little sense as when homosexuality was a criminal offence, later a disorder and now perfectly legal. I mean, we are talking about the same behavior that has been viewed in radically different ways.

Besides, flashing has not always been a criminal offence. It became a criminal offence in the 70s or something like that. Before that, passive flashing was legal, while active was not. Something they really should not have changed.

Yes, but why should NT culture be allowed to decide when things should be private and public? Shouldn't that be up to the individual to decide?

After all, we don't have to go further than to Bonobo to find a primate that has public sex, even public group sex, so it is hardly coded into the primate genome that sex is a private behavior. Also, NT female moaning has been suggested to have the purpose of alerting people of what is going on (she is having sex), so that too puts doubt on the private nature of sex in humans. As I think of it, I don't think any other species regards sex as a private activity.

Besides, why are we not offended when animals have sex? Especially when our dogs mount each others? I mean, isn't that a horrible sight that NT culture must spare us from?

Can you video that? I've not yet seen or heard a flasher getting punched by a female, so it would be novel.

Edit: Also note that asexual females do not have higher disgust ratings for flashing. They only feel more disgusted by cat calling for some reason.

I do find men's sax unattractive when they dangle out of a pair of shorts. That just looks wrong. On or off, IDC either way, but not half on.

It's just an as*hole thing to do...to take out your "junk," and wave it around.

Pretty uncessary to retort to violence for that.
If I had written "if some girl waved her tits at me she's getting punched" you would probably lock the thread.

You're such a hypocrite.

As a woman, we have much more to fear from a man flashing his genitals (men tend to be bigger and stronger than us, and more likely to rape us than other women) than a man does from a woman flashing her breasts. What are the chances that woman might attack and overpower you, compared to the chances of us being attacked and overpowered by a man flashing his junk at us? It's not hypocrisy for a woman to express a desire to fight back against a sexually aggressive man, it comes from experience (most of us have encountered sexually aggressive men that could physically overpower us if they wanted to.)

I higly doubt a man would wave his genitals at you before assaulting you, seems pretty counter-productive.

I find the human body quite beautiful, really. Both male and female.

I imagine the female's disgust comes from a social stigma surrounding waving one's parts around in public.
