Last Sunday I started talking to a really nice girl on OKC, the first one who's answered my messages in months. We spent this whole week talking and texting, and we were getting along awesomely. She loves to read and play video games, she thought I was funny, she was even super impressed by the fact that I write books. We were going to finally meet in person this Monday, but then she dropped the worst bombshell possible: she's in a cult.

There's always something, isn't there?

Is the cult Christianity? Otherwise I don’t see how it’d cause a fight

It could be some very strict, Christian, fundamental religion/cult.

It's one of the cults that pretends to be Christian, and its followers will tell you it's Christian, but it makes up its own set of rules everyone has to follow. Some people don't know it, but there's an actual checklist of things it has to have to be labeled a cult, and this one hits all of them.

I asked if she'd be willing to transfer over to my church and she said she'd rather I start coming to hers.

Nothing against anyone's belief's, as people are free to believe whatever they wish, but I personally think that most churches are watered down cults, as well, that brainwash people, and pray on the naive, gullible, and vulnerable.

As a general rule for guys who struggle in getting interest from girls, those few who are into you undoubtedly will have some serious issues somewhere. After hearing about her being a cult member I'd bail very, very quickly.
