How to tell if a woman isn't single.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I could use some help on the topic above, without asking anybody (hate rumaors so much!) I am about 13, and last time I tried to do this, well, It was an epic fail.
And well, the rumors (or now facts) started spreading.
They have died out, and I really didn't care, but anybody have some advice for the future?
You can't tell for certain unless she tells you (though if you really don't know her, she could well be lying - but then, if she is then you probably shouldn't have anything more to do with her).
Be reassured that you're at an age where you're kind of allowed to look like an idiot with girls, because you (and others) will just chalk it up to youth and inexperience. Just don't physically hurt anyone or be overtly insulting.

Single: She complains about not knowing any nice guys, or that none of the guys she knows want a committed relationship.
Married: She complains about her husband not being nice, or that all of the single girls she knows are so lucky to have nice boyfriends.

What about in a relationship but not married?

This may start another flame war, but unless a person is married or engaged, then there is no commitment. Or so I've been told by most of the girls who dumped me for another guy.

Sounds like an excuse that said girls used to break up if you ask me...

At least they told me that we could still be friends.

A nice little trick is just talk to them. Or more specifically ask them about things they like to do for fun and what they do with spare time. More often than not, if a girl is attached they will somehow bring up a significant other either intentionally of through Freudian slip.

13 y/o seems pretty young to be worrying about whether someone is single or not - I wouldn't even consider females that age to be "women," more like little girls or young women, and not really any age to be thinking about relationships. I mean, how serious is a relationship at that point? You can't even really drive on a date, you don't have any income, and you're pretty much still a child (and I don't mean this insultingly or condescendingly). You're going to be a lot different person a year from then at 14, that's how fast the rate of change is.
For the 16 and beyond age range, the best thing is just to assume all women have a BF until you hear differently, and treat them nicely regardless. That way if you do by chance find out they are single, it will be a pleasant surprise, and not a nasty shock if you find out they have a BF.
