What kind of ways does social anxiety affect you
Not fear anymore but I don't talk in groups because I cannot think of anything unimportant to say. If it's unimportant, why say it? I can't smalltalk. To me, conversation is to exchange information. Apparently it's a social rule that you're NEVER supposed to say anything important in social situations.
I hate the phone. When I call a company I get confused at the irritating 'smiling lady' giving the menu options. I daze off and miss the option I wanted and get mad and keep pounding on the '0' until the machine gets frustrated and gives me a PERSON!
When I call people to catch up and wind up on the phone forever, I pace and smoke like a chimney.
I cannot WRITE and listen at the same time. I have to listen, process, write and by then they're rattling off the zip code. I have to make them repeat. Taking a message is very hard. I am left handed and it's hard to keep the paper still.
Anyone else like this?

i cant stand using the phone. sometimes i miss calls because im psyching myself up to answering it for too long.. and sometimes in certain groups of people, i end up all awkward and quiet and my brain just like shuts down..then 1 of them leaves and someone says something and all of a sudden im crazy talkative..i think that has something to do with unintentional intimidation..as in someone intimidates me without trying and idk whyy
