who always has something interesting to say and articulate way to say it...like the life of the party i guess...how to go about this? What books should I read and what techniques should I use while reading?

I think about the conversations I have with girls and this is something seriously lacking...something profound but relatable, showcasing a level of understanding of the world and life...yet relatable, like something she'd care about....Also, it's not just because I'm horny, lol I want to become a better, more knowledgeable person, not just organized, but also like some commentaries on history, sciences, current news, and while I love computers and technology (thank you video games lol ) I really need to learn something about the technique of comedy and stuff like that...speech i guess.

Also I'd have more friends too, as a bonus.

No self help books can help you with that. Don't do it; it's a waste of time and of money. Something she'd care about...That depends of the individual. Not everybody cares about the same thing. Don't force things too much, rather let them come as they should: by themselves. If you find the correct girl, it will go easier as you'd have real things to talk about. Having more friends doesn't improve the situation. Remember: Quality over quantity.

This isn't something you can fake, this is something you have to actually be. And you can start by taking up new hobbies, trying out new things, considering other points of views and re-evaluating your own so that even if you don't have much knowledge on a topic you can at least discuss it to a reasonable length.

Also learn to take interest in others, else they won't take an interest in you. I was terrible in my teens and early 20's. I had this little bubble of a world I lived in and in all honesty there's a whole world out there full of interesting people. Ask them about their topics and expand on them if you can.

YES, this is what I'm looking for... like what should I get into? I know its not something you can fake, but I need to know WHAT to be doing...I have vague ideas of...the scientific counterculture of bioengineering and space colonization lmao but I have no idea about any of these subjects...I'm just a damn dreamer

Okay man, what kind of stuff do you like or are curious about right now that you aren't checking out besides that?

The space colonization sounds like fun. Probably can't talk about it in a bar or at school but at least on the net you can spark up a lot of debate. Check these sites for related news to that and biology news http://www.newscientist.com/ and http://www.futuretimeline.net/forum/for ... nt-events/ the second link covers a lot of topics. Check the sticky threads out people post news from loads of sources.

And check out your library. It gets you out the house and it's not always books you have to read. There's archives of old things about where you live, there's audio books, you can rent the DVD's and more..
That's another thing, check out some movies. Maybe spare 2 hours a week just for that. Even if you watch the movie between doing things like your homework, eating, chatting on Skype etc.

I'd also Google your home town or if there's a local paper, see what info you can find out about what's going on and what sort of activities there are to do.

You could always start going to different kinds of parties.

Being widely-read, well-informed, eloquent and communicative are desirable qualities in themselves, but in my experience parties are not the optimal situations for their display.

The 'life of the party' in such situations is usually some airheaded extrovert of preconceived social status among attendees, who deliberately draws attention to himself (and it's usually a male) through demonstrations of highly flamboyant or provocative behaviour in the hope of commanding popular attention and admiration (and in particular hope of drawing positive attention from potential sexual partners who may be susceptible to his glib charm and superficial personality).

I am cynical about such people -- can you tell?

So my advice to you would be

1) Choose a social group that accords with your pre-existing interests (there may be a relevant special interest group on meetup.com, for example)
2) Treat your participation as an opportunity to explore the subject through social interaction (exchange of opinions, particularly with those with advanced levels of understanding, or considerable personal experience, of the matter in hand, or through following up recommendations of books or other media suggested by members, for example)
3) Subjecting the information obtained thereby to the scrutiny of your no-doubt considerable critical faculties
4) Mediating your subsequently-enhanced understanding on an interpersonal basis by employing all of your undoubtedly-persuasive personal skills (such as wit, rhetorical argument, powers of précis, individualistic analysis, perceptive interrogation of the subject, ability to pose unexpected questions, expressions of curiosity about currently hypothetical areas, etc)
5) Regarding the above as an ongoing and somewhat interactive process, and constantly striving toward developing it in a group context
6) And consequently attaining a level of social respect within that group commensurate with your increasing understanding of the subject, your appreciation of its subtleties, nuances and potential, and your personal ability to discuss these in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis

... until such time as you attain 'royalty' status within the group (or, even better, the generally-held perception of being a highly-individual observer of the subject), whose opinion is widely-sought and keenly-attended during debate within the group.

At which stage, you may regard your personal goal as having been attained.

At advanced stages, the possibility of appearances in the media as a commentator on the subject may arise, although this is highly-unpredictable, which could lead to a career as a recognised pundit in the field

NB: It helps in all stages of the above process if you are generally perceived to be highly sexually-attractive, financially-generous, and spontaneously witty, although lack of these qualities does not necessarily lead to inevitable failure

Or you could regard the above procedure as being a method through which social-climbing emotionally-maladjusted individuals with unwarranted notions of their own importance become a prominent nuisance to others within that field of interest. Who are we to judge?

Good luck!
