Did you guys know this existed? I didn't until watching the Giants game today. It seems like it's basically just a bunch of retired and a few active athletes who support Autism Speaks.

VERY bad PR for us. "Cureautismnow.org" is listed at the bottom of the page, and this movement is an initiative of Autism Speaks.

Though it says 'against autism',that doesn't mean they're against the person even though it's commonly thought of that way in Autistic community-a lot of people who see in,rather than out of ASDs see the person and ASD as seperate things, will find the same thing within people who were born with another disability-and those who aquired it later in life, they often see themselves as seperate rather than it being a part of them.

They are not random atheletes who have chosen to attack something to look good, they have children with autism,it can be extremely difficult for families to cope or see their child struggling, which is probably why they would rather their child didn't have it,to give them a better quality of life, that isnt something to hate a bunch of people for,it's the way that they go about it that is the problem.
It does not excuse the poor sounding name they've given themselves, but with a backer like AS,what can expect?
Really wish the NAS was in america,so then people would start to understand all sides, and not just AS's one sided 'attack and destroy' preaching.

Too bad money and influence can't bring brains. And in my province too!, A shame! Why spend a whole bunch of money and not do research?

This assumption may be premature, but does this say "charity tax cut, good PR" to you?

I think that I'll give my charity dollars to my local Pro-Life office, instead.

Started by NHL players. Hahaha! Hockey is so lame. The amount of interest in it is so low that ESPN now shows poker instead of hockey. I guess this was the only way they could get any attention. Too bad they had to do it at our expense. :x
