Aversion to pet hair?

First of all I'm not sure if

a) This has been asked already

or

b) If this is the right place to post this


Regardless I wanted to figure this out. Lately I've been visiting my girlfriend who has 2 cats and 1 dog that sheds a lot! Most everything in that house has pet hair on it and for some reason it just freaks me out.

Does anyone know why I have such an aversion to pet hair?

I think a lot of people don't like having pet hair all over the place.
It gets on your clothes, perhaps in your mouth etc.
Not very hygienic.

An ex of mine had his dog sleep in his bed/sit on the couch/etc.
and there was dog hair everywhere. I always made sure to take a shower and put on clean clothes when I got home:p

I have a dog that sheds a lot of hair just by shaking.
I can't stand it. Every now and then I tie the beast up outside and vacuum like crazy.

Btw I only call her the beast because she is a tiny dog.

I guess it makes sense that a lot of people don't like pet hair... Sensory issues coule probably play a part for some people. Maybe you don't like the feel or smell of it?.. Or maybe just the way it looks? Allergies could cause a problem too.
I never really minded pet hair all that much, personally. There are certain kinds that make me sneezy or make my sinuses feel weird for some reaon, but other than that i don't mind the pet hair that's all over my house, lol. I love the feeling of pet hair when it's actually on the animal, though. The feel, smell, and everything of a dog is the best thing ever to me. So i think that's why i don't mind the shedding too much.
