Is moving hands while talking a NT or AS trait?

I know it has been discussed before on this before, but I don't remember which group does it.

Lots of people move their hands while talking, whether they are on the Spectrum or not.

Both, although the gestures of aspies are often used less as an illustrative method and more for their own benefit while talking.

Yea. I often make shapes with my hands when describing things to people. I'm a visual thinker.

I do more pointing and waving with my hands than talk sometimes.

The earlier posters are correct in asserting no specific connection. The association is not between use or non use, but rather between AS and failure to appropriately use non verbal language to regulate and moderate expression. This might manifest specifically in the use of hand gestures, and this manifestation could be a failure to use hand gestures when appropriate, or the use of gauche, inappropriate hand gesturing, or a mixed pattern of non use and gauche, inappropriate use.
