This one is for music lovers of all kinds.

I'm interested in how people feel music - and what kind of imagery it conjures up.

Some people have synaesthesia where they see colours. I don't have that but in my imagination sometimes music takes on a definite physical presence, a kind of fast-morphing shape, an actual shape in the air. It usually starts off as a deep feeling and sometimes takes on a physical presence.
I am not quite sure what music does to the brain but it is some kind of magic.
I play the piano which is the no. 1 thing I enjoy. it relaxes me, even though it takes a lot of concentration and effort. When I am playing I am totally engrossed and am oblivious to phones ringing, cats crying, partner talking. for a long time I have had a hunch that the neurones or whatever in my brain are somehow "straightened out" or unknotted when I am feeling peaceful after a session on the piano.
