I know a lot of a people (including yours truly) who was scared of FHE's "Yellow Handwriting Pad" logo from 1983:

I've never seen that before, but it reminds me of an old PBS ad that would freak me out when I was a kid. The visuals are ok, but the sound -- ucckk, I'm feeling Bad Vibrations.

I used to be scared of the theme from the childrens' show, The Electric Company.

I still have to try not to squirm whenever I hear the "THX sound" that accompanies the THX logo in the movie theater.

I was scared out of my wits by that Surround Sound "S" logo that appeared on some of Sony's VHS tapes from the 90's.
