Well, where do I start... I have had 3 rabbits so far. One died at a year and a half after being ill for the whole half a year, the second died aged 8 months. My third one, Jenifer, AKA the REAL Jellybean, has survived and is now 6 years old.
So recently, our house manager has agreed to let us have a new bunny. So I went to a pet store which is supposedly really good and found a REALLY cute netherland dwarf rabbit. It was so cute and affectionate and I named him Oliver... except three days later, I rang the shop and Oliver's owner had come for him... yeah, turns out he was a rescue bunny and had only been there for 5 days... So this time, I went in trying not to get emotionally attached to any bunnies... But alas, I saw a little ginger and white Dutch rabbit and fell in love, only now I have discovered (having been to visit him) that his whole litter has come down with bloat (where they eat too much and the gut gets compacted) which is in most cases fatal. They lost one of the four last night and the other three don't look so good, including the one I want... Sigh... I love rabbits but I always seem to fall in love with the wrong ones...
PS I haven't given up on the ginger one yet, but I have reserved another dwarf rabbit just in case...
