What exactly did you do just prior to trying to play the game? If you did a software update, i need to know what was updated. Same with hardware.

edit: Were you playing this game on XP before upgrading to Vista?

Ok, well thats something i encountered a while back. Seems that some updates are not compatible with some games. Found that out with 2-3 that i enjoyed playing.

Is there a way around it to right the issue I wish there was an unoffical patch for this game.Every game I ever got from steam always work perfectly this is the only one that cause trouble that did have an extreamly simple solution. The funny thing is that I am not that good with computer but I am pretty good with dosbox.

Perhaps try it in another format, Steam or Direct to Dive. It should be cheap and is an utter masterpeice so well worth trying another approach.

Have you tried adding the .exe to the Data Execution Prevention exclusion list?

How to I do that,I will check google if they have suggestion.I already have it on steam I never owned the pc disk version. I dont have the money to buy it again because it was a birthday present and my reletives are unreliable for birthday money or presents.Which grinds my gears gears because they stop giving you anything at 18 and I got barley anything for 16 and nadda at 17. I have no other source of income and the only place that is hiring is super market which treats my older bro like crap and it makes all worked up and he is on the spectrum.Sorry for going off topic but its to be expected am I right. By the way its good to meet some one else who enjoys deus ex the invisible war or just the series in general.

First op open System Properties.
Then go to the Advanced tab; click the Settings button of the Performance section; go to Data Execution Prevention tab; click Add.. and add all the .exe of your game.

You can also try compatiblility mode.
Right click on the .exe, open the Compatibility page, check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then select Windows XP from the drop down box.

ok, one more thing to try. start the game using the following command line, replace App.exe with the actual .exe of your game.

start "" /Affinity 1 "App.exe"

looks like it's missing some files. At the risk of sounding dumb, have you checked the disk for the missing files, or failing that, an uninstall/reinstall?

BTW - 'Unofficial' often means unsupported...

oh, what I meant is this:
1. start a command prompt
(It's at top of the start menu in Windows 2008. If it's not there in Vista, just type "cmd" in the search box)
2. type the following line, but instead of "App.exe", replace that with the location of the .exe used to start the game
start "" /Affinity 1 "App.exe"

That will start the game and lock it to 1 cpu core.
