Ubuntu 9.04 and Flash help

Flash was giving errors so I opted to reinstall. However I keep getting a inconsistent package error in Ubuntu 9.04 when removing flash player. I also can't resintall flash and it completely messed up synaptics. Any Help

If you've changed anything to your sources.list recently, undo it. Inconsistent package error could be from you removing something that other things depended on.

"sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude full-upgrade" should clean stuff up unless you've really made a mess of your system. If that gives you a bunch of errors, you're in a bit more trouble. If it goes successfully, you should be able to grab the flash player from Restricted Extras in Synaptic or Add/Remove, or try this script to install Flash.
