Ahh, well. Now I'm back to dreading them.

But not very often. It can be spotting and if the bleeding is real heavy, something is wrong. It could be a result of a miscarriage or a threatened one. But if the baby is all right, the mother has to be on bed rest or she can lose the baby. I never had my period when pregnant.

That is certainly interesting jc6chan. Are you going to the doctor for the hormonal issues? Do the other boys in gym class make rude comments? I am certain your parents were concerned.

Ya my parents were concerned alright.

so, jc6chan, do you feel something missing in your life that you need to post in the menstruation thread in the women's discussion area?

This is funny because lot of women hate getting their period and wish they didn't get it. Then they are unhappy when it comes but because I want to have kids, I want to get my period because it means I am dropping eggs. You can't get pregnant if you don't release any eggs.

You might not be releasing eggs and still get periods such as with PCOS.

I always get thrilled whenever my period comes on time. Several times it has been one week late and I was so worried! I knew that I wasn't pregnant at all. It probably was just stress.

Gah I absolutely hate getting my period. Everything's just gooey and chumpy and IT SMELLS TERRIBLE.

Plus you can't sleep naked whilst you are bleeding from the crotch.

I'm never excited. It hurts so bad that for 6 days of every month I am too sore to leave the house. Sometimes I literally curl up on the floor and hope that I pass out. When pain killers do nothing to help, it's nothing to look forward to.

I'm in the UK, and my cycle fluctuates from 27-30 days.

I hate my period, it's like a form of cruel and unusual punishment by my own body for not being pregnant. I have the most terrible cramps, and if I even have a single sip of a fizzy drink at the same time, it is AGONY (why is this? Anyone else have this problem?). And I don't even have the one positive thing (assurance that I'm not pregnant) because I'm a virgin so I couldn't be pregnant anyway.

At the beginning, I have the heaviest flow in the world and there's only ever completely inadequate "regular" tampons in the bathroom. Then near the end, it's really light so it's hard to tell if it's over or if it's just taking a break. Worst thing of all is when it starts at school and I have no tampons with me, and I have to face the embarrassment of going to student reception and asking for some while trying to make sure no boys overhear. And the ones they give out at school are absolutely awful anyway, they disintegrate after about ten minutes (apparently the school nurse gives out free condoms as well. I hope those are better quality than the tampons, for everyone's sake!).

To conclude, no, periods are the worst thing ever.
