Wonder how far this thread will go. It'd be interesting to know any famous people that are/were Autistic or Aspies.

I'm led to believe Albert Einstein was Austist. Stevie Wonder, as well as being blind, I've been told he's also Autistic.

I suspect Robin Williams (Mrs Doubtfire, Mork And Mindy, Jumanji, too many to list) is an Aspie, just a hunch that I have.

Peter Tork of The Monkees

I have a hunch that Mick Avory has something going on, due to eye contact, and odd body language. He also talks to himself to the point that everybody can hear.

Graig Nicols, I don't know if I've spelt that right.

John Lennon had something going on, as well

Temple Gradin

I also have a hunch that Marilyn Monroe was on the spectrum, as well. She was extreamly shy and she stuttered a lot.

Albert Einstien

Andy Warhol

Glenn Gould

I'm pretty sure that Ray Davies had AS. His social skills are a bit off, and he doesn't like change, very much. He was also very quiet and withdrawn as a child.

Bill Gates

That woman from America's Next Top Model

I've read that Steven Spielberg was diagnosed as an adult.

I read on Wikipedia that Abraham Lincoln and Leonardo Da Vinci may have been aspies. Anyone think Moses from the Old Testament/Torah (take your pick) would count (read he had a speech impediment & stuff)? If more famous people would have it we could use it as proof that aspies are not useless... I (at least) get that sometimes.

Comedienne, Ellen Degenerate could be Aspie or it could just be an eye contact issue of some other nature. Also, don't forget my favorite Autist, Dr. Temple Grandin.

I've heard that David Bowie, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Jim Morrison, Elton John and Prince are Aspies.

I've found something on YouTube about Dr Grandin. Very interesting lady, thanks for suggesting it. Taught me a bit.

Albert Einstein was a later speaking, but he was quite sociable. He lacked most of the indicators for AS, except perhaps for late speaking.

The guy who created Pokemon has confirmed aspergers syndrome. I forget his name, but you can check it on wikipedia.
