That makes sense but I also think that for some of us old and creaky ones HFA wasn't even on the radar when we were young. When I was small autism only meant one thing and that was low functioning. Well, I'm off to work

Autism was exclusively "low-functioning" until at least the 1980s.

There was no "official high functioning" label until 1994, with the DSM-IV.

There seemed to be an "unofficial" concept of HFA developing in the 1980s.

Is there any other tests like Mind in the Eyes that target other specific skills?

The EIQ test isn't working. The 341 question one. I answered all the questions only for it to tell me I had to buy the results. :(
