A few weeks ago, out of boredom and dealing with some romantic difficulties, I decided to go through the task of making an RPG Video Game. Granted, it sure won't be easy, but I'm still getting the story/plot down and have some information filled in as well. It is called Final Fantasy: Eternal Essence and anybody that is a fan of the series or RPGs in general should be attracted to it. It has a fantasy/sci-fi theme to it and should take about 30 hours to complete all the way through... given a rough estimate. The following is now the information:

Be warned, however, this is quite a lot of information, and will take a while to read.

General Story (It is far from being complete, so bare with me):

Final Fantasy: Eternal Essence

*Actual gameplay doesn't start until bolded Roman Numeral.
*Ayla's name is now Kiandra.

I. An alien race without a name are one of the several beings that exist throughout the universe. They possess powers that are beyond comprehision to any other living being could possibly understand, and exist without anybody else knowing.

II. After a time that nobody can record, life began to dimish thoughout the universe, and the alien race began to come to agreement that they have the responsibility of creating other life to replace the fallen species. They respond by creating 3 other races: The Humes, The Altans, and The Lavonians.

III. After a short time, the alien race refuses to live with the species they created and produce 11 planets for them to live and prosper on while they watch over from their home.

IV. The Humes and Altans were scattered across 10 of the planets, while the Lavonians were put on a single, enormous planet. The reason for for this was to prevent conflict between the Lavonians and the other races. The fact that the Lavonians had far superior intellectual and psychic prowress and could easily destroy the other 2 races was the main reason of conflict prevention.

V. The Lavonians quickly gain knowledge of all that is around them and advance far faster than the Altans and Humes. After a short time, they learn the existance of the other 2 races, but conclude that it would be best to not let them know of their existance. The Humes gain knowledge at a slower pace, and take a few millinia to learn how to create fairly advanced tecnology such as vehicles that defy gravity and laser projectiles. However, before this age the Humes learned to master an art of a weapon called a Katana. Their mastery of this simple weapon greatly intrigured the Altans and even the Lavonians. But, due to the rise of technology, only a few chose to continue the use of this blade and it's reign over hume warfare was soon forgotten.

VI. The Altans, which were steadily competing with the Humes in technological advancement, are all stricken with a disease. The unknown alien race debates heavily on whether they should cure the threat, but they come upon the conclusion that the Altans must learn to survive by themselves, and nearly every Altan perishes from the Galaxy.

VII. A few centuries later, the Humes technology slowly starts to become as advanced as even the Lavonians in some cases. They learn to travel across planets and, after a short time, all Humes in the Universe are united as one.

VIII. After another few centuries, the Humes become alarmingly more uncaring. They destroy other creatures to build the foundations for other colonies and, as a result, several creatures become extinct. The Lavonians, watching as the Humes slowly consume other species, successfully hide their planet from existance from the Humes.

IX. Disturbed by the trend that the Humes display, the time has finally come for the alien race to act. Any Hume that tries to go beyond the original 10 planets they were created upon are to be swiped after heading a certain distance and destroyed for other species' sake.

X. Due to not being able to advance beyond their planets, the Humes turn upon themselves and fight each other. The Technology War beings.

XI. After several years of fighting, a man known as Nastin focuses on expanding and creating new technology for warfare. As a result, he forms the Advanced Technological Federation (ATF) and, with the help of a soldier that still used a Katana, rised above his opponents during the War.

XII. The Technology War ends, and Nastin establises the city Nastir on the Planet Xilith. Remnants of his enemies are engaged by robots throughout several years and never cease to completely die.

XIII. A Lavonian by the name of Lacey wishes to travel to Xilith to study the nature of Humes even further. She is not granted request to do so, but still travels to Xilith. After a few months, she wishes to return to Lavonia, but is denied. Lacey becomes an outcast of Lavonia and is forced to live in the dark away from all humes.

XIV. A few years after the end of the Technology War, Nastin mysteriously vanishes. His son, Jiren, takes over ATF. Jiren pushes war technology even further, but neglects the millions of people living in Nastir. Strict laws are created to prevent people from leaving Xilith, and Jiren forms a powerful Dictatorship that even the Lavonians come to respect and fear.

XV. Cozmul, the legendary warrior who bore a Katana during the Technology War, meets Lacey. They fall in love and marry. This marks the first time ever that 2 different races have joined together as a couple.

XVI. The Lavonians, fearful of what Jiren has created, decide to leave Lavonia and find another planet to live upon. During their evacuation of the planet, however, an infant is taken from the Ruler of Lavonia due to the child's extraordinary powers that are deemed dangerous. He is put into a stasis pod and is sent far from Lavonia to prevent him from ever waking up.

XVII. A year later, the Lavonians calculations of the stasis ship never being close to a planet turned out to be wrong. They were deliberately made incorrect as the Ruler of Lavonia secretly changed the calculations for his son's sake. Due to the stealth abilities of the stasis pod, it crashlands upon Xilith and is not discovered by the ATF. A Hume couple discovers the child and name him Tyrel. They bring him up as their own. Also during this thime, Cozmul and Lacey bear a son, Dash.

XVIII. At the age of 7, Tyrel is discovered by the ATF as an unregistered citizen and a team of cyborgs are sent to capture him. The cyborgs kill Tyrel's adoptive parents and take Tyrel. When Tyrel arrives at the investigation center, his extreme powers are reliezed. Jiren takes him as his own son. Tyrel becomes interested in the use of a Katana, and picks up the art and masters it before he turns 8.

XIX. 1 year after Jiren takes up Tyrel, Lacey's age finally takes it's toll (Lavonians do not age physically on the outside and have a much longer lifespan than Humes, but they still die after a ceratin age) and she passes away at the age of 362. Before she dies, she reveals her true heritage to Cozmul. Dash is raised by Cozmul to use the Katana and becomes adept at it. Tyrel begins to wonder about who he really is since he is so different than everyone else around him. He becomes the most powerful warrior ever known by Humes and is known throughout the universe.

XX. When Dash turns the age of 19, Jiren decides to kidnap Cozmul and create him as a cyborg... making him a powerful robot feared by all his opponents. However, Dash notices the absence of his father and quickly sets out to find him. Dash teams up with a rebel group to sneak into ATF Headquarters and rescue his father. Almost all of the rebels die in the attempt, with exception of Dash himself and Revan, the leader of the group and an expert gunman. They also discover a thief by the name of Ayla that knows the headquarters inside and out due to her consitent obstruction of the place. They eventually find Cozmul, and, to Dash's dismay, is barely alive. On their way to escape, however, Tyrel's reign of terror over all Humes begins. He comes to the conclusion that he is the savior of all other living beings and will save them by purging the entire universe of all Humes. Tyrel destroys nearly the entire ATF and kills every Hume that wasn't able to make it to a ship in time before he killed them. Dash, Ayla, Revan, and Cozmul find an emergency escape shuttle in the headquarters, but it can only carry 3 people. Cozmul insists that he stays behind and vows that he will not die on Xilith. The 3 others escape the planet while Tyrel's war on Hume Kind begins.

XXI. Only a few hours after Tyrel nearly all life on Xilith, he resides in Nastir and starts to drain Xilith of it's Essence... the Essence of Life. When Tyrel is done, he will become as powerful as the alien race that created the 3 original races and purge the universe of all Humes. The alien race ponders whether they should interfere with Tyrel's plan, but after a heated debate, they decide that, like the Altans, the Humes must deal with their problems themselves and leave them to fight Tyrel alone.

XXII. The Emergency Shuttle quickly runs out of fuel, and crash lands on Miare. They land in Old Hieto, a town that now only consists of murky water and buildings decimated by a raid the ATF launched several years ago. Battling their way through the "Ghost Town", they eventually reach the gates of New Hieto. They are let in, and learn that all contact with Xilith had been lost several hours ago. The people seem rejoiced at the downfall of the ATF, but are clueless about the greater danger Tyrel presents. Wanting to go back to his father, Dash quickly asks for a ship back to Xilith. The King informs him that their scanners show not a single life force remained on the planet and all traffic flow to Xilith was at a halt. Dash, enraged by the King's reponse, demands one anyway, and gets everyone removed from the throne room for his outburst.

XXIII. Feeling hopeless and lost, Dash is at loss of words and clueless about what to do next. Eventually, Ayla talks sense into him and Dash comes to himself. Dash, Revan, and Ayla come to a consensus that they should try to find a place to stay in Hieto until they know what to do next. However, while searching for a place to stay, they overhear rumors about a plauge that killed everyone on Xilith, the ATF desperately trying to reform at an unknown location, and that Jiren's son, Tyrel, was seen in Seneca casually walking the streets without any ATF official present. Dash, upon hearing the last rumor, quickly desires to leave Hieto for Seneca, but they are denied since any space travel must be approved by the King. Dash, Revan, and Ayla go to throne room to request permission to leave, but are not given permission since they are branded untrustworthy. The situation seems hopeless until Revan, using his maturity and smooth talking, strikes a deal with the King. If Dash, Revan, and Ayla retrieve a piece of Adamanite from the top of Mt. Tunstahl, they will be granted a temporary shuttle to the Planet Necco, were Seneca resides. For extra precautions by the King, he sends his top mage, Jordyn, to accompany them along their quest.

XXIV. Dash, Revan, Ayla, and Jordyn make their way through the Aulong region to Mt. Tunstahl. At the top of the cavern, they find the precious Adamanite, but are attacked by a biomechanical organism. Luckily, the combined strength of the four prove to be too much and they overwhelm their attacker. However, upon defeating the organism, it shatters into several pieces and quickly fly away from the mountain. Weakened by the battle, the party starts to make their way down the mountain, but Jordyn insists that she musters all of her magic to teleport them back to Hieto. They agree, and teleport right into the king's throne room. The King of Hieto is statisfied and gains their trust. However, before leaving, Jordyn insists that she goes along with Dash, Revan, and Ayla to help their cause of finding Tyrel. Even though she sounds uncovincing of her reason, the king allows her to join Dash.

XXV. After a short trip through space, the party arrives at Seneca. They are relieved to find that Seneca is very similiar to Nastir and they embrace their surroundings. Eventually, they scower the eastern section of Seneca while shopping for weapons and items, but find no trace of Tyrel. However, Revan suggests that they split up into pairs; one pair to search the western section of Seneca and another to take a ship to the nearby planet of Highwind, home of the Dragoons. Dash and Ayla decide to search the western section of Seneca while Jordyn, reluctantly, joins Revan to travel to Highwind.

XXVI. Dash and Ayla start to make their way towards the entrance of Western Seneca, but they find a small group of soldiers from the ATF scowering the streets. Shocked, they quickly try to find a place to hide, but nearly all corners are cut off by the patrolmen. In an act of desperation, Dash and Ayla bolt into a weapon shop in an allyway. They plead with it's owner, Lisa, to hide them. Lisa agrees without hesitation, and she leads them to a pathway that takes them to the sewers.

XXVII. Meanwhile, Revan and Jordyn take a ship to Highwind to possibly find Tyrel in Krieger. While approaching Krieger, however, they notice a huge battle beneath them. On one side is ATF war machines and the other is a small army of people with lances and are accompanied by Wyverns. The pilot asks if Revan and Jordyn still really want to land in Krieger, and they say that they still want to. Revan and Jordyn are dropped off in the middle of the battle. A large robot, designed to attack any living hume, starts to approach Revan and Jordyn. The 2 get ready to fight, but a Dragoon drops from the sky and crushes the robot. The jump causes a massive tremor and all the machines on the battlefield are destroyed. The Dragoon then leads them to Castle Krieger and identifies himself as Jyantix Cambel, Prince of Krieger and all Dragoons. Revan and Jordyn explain their situation to them, and Jyantix informs them that no such man has ever set foot in Krieger. Dissapointed, Revan and Jordyn ask for a ship back to Seneca, but, to their dismay, no technology what so ever exsists in Krieger... not even space ships. Jyantix offers them a place to stay until a ship comes and picks them up.

XXVIII. Back in Seneca, Dash and Ayla find a place to rest in the sewers away from the filth and ATF patrol. During this moment, Dash and Ayla start to form a bond and get to know each other better. However, their moment is interupted when a dark figure emerges from the shadows. Dash draws his sword and prepares to fight, but the figure shows no signs of hostility. He reveals himself as Zythis, an outcast of society and is actually undead. After the explanation, he tells them that more patrolmen are on the way and it isn't safe to stay for them on Seneca. Angry that he wasn't able to find Tyrel, Dash reluctantly agrees and asks which is the best way to get to the spaceport. Zythis then reveals that the spaceport has been shutdown in order to contain 3 criminals and the only way off the planet is a ship from a temporary ATF base they set up. Dash and Ayla thank him for the vast amount of information, but then Zythis mentions things about "Repentence" and decides to help them leave Seneca and perphaps even journey with them. Fighting their way through the beasts that lurk below the streets in Seneca, they eventually find an entrance to the ATF base...

XXIX. Nighttime approaches in Krieger, and Revan and Jordyn have no choice be to sleep due to being stranded on the planet. While sleeping, they hear a massive explosion outside and find yet another army of robots attacking Krieger. Jyantix informs them that he must go to battle, and they should stay inside the Castle for their own safety. However, Revan and Jordyn insist that they fight with the Dragoons, and they rush into battle. After fighting off several robots, the three start to become overwhelmed by their attackers. While having time to just catch a breath, they horrifyingly look on and find the battle is turning into a massacre. The robots are far more powerful this time around, and while looking into the sky, they notice that as soon the Wyverns approach a purple mist, they fall to the ground and choke to death. Tracing the source of the mist to a larger robot, Revan, Jordyn, and Jyantix fight their way to the robot. After a hard fought battle, they destroy the robot and the purple mist starts to vanish. However, it is too late. The dead bodies of the proud Dragoons are scattered across the battlefield and the robots easily advance over the remaining warriors. Revan then knows it's time to retreat, but Jyantix refuses and wishes to continue to fight. Knowing it's suicidal to fight on, Revan desperately tries to convince Jyantix that they must save themselves from the onslaught, but Jyantix continues to fight on. It looks like Jyantix's fate is to die on the battlefield, but a large robot approaches and fires a massive rocket at the Castle Krieger. The rocket hits, and the Castle is demolished by the blast. Tears roll down Jyantix's face, and he knows the terrible truth that stands before him... the once proud, noble race that existed on Highwind is gone, and he is the last of the Dragoons.

XXX. Revan, Jordyn, and Jyantix escape the battlefield and run into a forest away from all of the robots. After battling the beasts that lurk in the forest and dodging the scout robots to detect human life, they find a small outpost established deep in the forest that serves as a landing bay for the spaceships that bring a seemingly endless supply of robots to the planet. Revan, desperate to leave Highwind and return to Seneca, leads the three of them past the robots and sneak aboard the ship. They find a cargo area and relax until the ship takes off for Seneca so they can reunite with Dash and Ayla.

XXXI. Cautiously entering the ATF base, Dash, Ayla, and Zythis make their way through the base silently avoiding guards for a short amount of time. However, they are eventually sighted by a robot and an alarm goes off. Battling their way through a plenthora of guards and robots, the three eventually run into a room. They find a massive airduct and climb into it. The guards are bewildered and are unable to find them for the time being. While going through the airducts, they here reports of them invading Highwind to make way for "Project Excalibur". Curious about what they are planning, Dash tries to find out more information, but their voices are cut off by a ship landing at the docking bay. The three follow the sound to the docking bay and watch as the ship empties out the robots. However, Dash also spots Revan, Ayla, and a man with dragon armor exiting the ship from another area. Dash, Ayla, and Zythis exit the airduct right behind the ship to meet up with the other three. The four original party members are united again, with two new members as well. However, before anybody can explain what happened during each other's absence, they are cornered in all directions by several guards. Then, above them on a balcony, they see Jiren; alive, but in a life support suit and a deep scar across his face. He recalls his survival, gloats about how the ATF will never fall, and says he has a "special" place for the six of them. Before the party can even fight back, they are all struck by darts that induce a deep sleep. Dash desperately tries to stay awake, but the chemical is too strong and he passes out on the cold, metal floor, clueless about what is to happen next.

XXXII. At an undisclosed time, Dash's eyes slowly open, and all he sees is piercing white. Standing before him, however, is a beautiful girl with wavy blonde hair and an angelic white dress that blends in with setting. A warm smile emerges from her lips, and she brushes aside some hair hidden in Dash's face. Then, with a soft, angelic whisper, she tells Dash to be prepared for the hardships that are soon to follow. Before Dash can even realize what's going on, however, everything dissapears and he finds himself strapped into a containment pod on a cargo ship. Revan, Kiandra, Jordyn, Jyantix, and Zythis surround him in a pod of their own, and are obviously submerged in a deep sleep. With minimal effort, Dash is able to slip out of his pod and disactivate all of them. The six members reunite again, and head up to the cockpit. The pilot, surprised by the members, turns around and attacks them. Dash and his party defeat their attacker, but during their fight, the ship enters the atmosphere of an unknown planet and plummets towards it. Revan desperately tries to soften the impact of the upcoming crash, but it does little to help. The crash is vicious, and all of them are sent sprawling in different directions in the cargo ship.

XXXIII. Several minutes pass, and Dash and his party emerge from the destroyed ship weakened, but alive. It takes little time to figure out are: Maxis, the largest planet in the galaxy and somewhat absent of the technology they are accustomed to. They find the nearby town of Remcre, and analyze the situation. They chose to go with Zythis' plan: Rest in Remcre for the day, and leave in the morning since the ATF will, more than likely, be coming after them when dawn comes. Rest is easy to comeby as they prepare for the dangers and mysterys that Maxis has for them as Dash still thinks about what his dream on the Cargo Ship really means...

That's all... for now. I'll update this thread as I make progress.

Whenever Dash brings up Lacey to his father, he simply blows Dash off. Dash has trouble controlling his anger at times and is difficult to make friends with due to his pessimistic views on many things, but he makes up for these traits with his loyalty and courage, which leads him to dangers he wasn't expecting. Dash's Blade Techs are very useful against some of the fiercest monsters in the game and come in handy against tough opponents. Dash is one of the most powerful physical damage dealers you can have in your party and has very high agility and defense, and extremely high strength.

Name: Revan Fusil
Age: 35
Height: 6'4"
Class: Gunner
Hometown: Nastir
Special Techniques: Devices

While searching to find his real parents, he finds a job and works for the ATF as a gunman for special operations. However, he eventually finds out that his true parents died before he even turned the age of 1. The ATF sent assasins to dispose of them due to their unauthorized access of certain knowledge. Upon finding out, he abandons his job for the ATF and forms a rebel group to strike at them. Revan's maturity helps the party out in many situations and his knowledge of all that is around him is only second to Zythis. While Revan may not be the most damaging attacker, his point blank accuracy comes in handy many times throughout the journey and his Devices are some of the most useful items obtainable in the game. Revan has good Strength, HP, and Defense and extremely high accuracy.

She has made a living by stealing from the ATF Headquarters, obviously making her a master at what she does. She has also studied a small amount of outlawed black magic from an underground network and a small amount of white magic from some friends before they were captured and killed by the ATF. While she is hasty and immature at times, her true self is far more grown than her age really identifies. Kiandra is an invaluable member of the party early in the game and adds more versitility to the party than any other member. Her ability to steal can allow you to obtain some items that cannot be bought in stores and save you some gil. She has good all around stats and very high evasion and accuracy.

Name: Jordyn Belzmet
Age: 22
Height: 5'8"
Class: White Mage
Hometown: Peake/Hieto
Special Technique: (Haven't made one yet for her >.<)

For one year, she became sucluded and was heart broken. When she turned 16, she then vowed to put him behind herself. To do so, she traveled to Hieto where she would be under care of her aunt who happened to be a white mage. Jordyn then studied the art herself and became one of the best in the kingdom. Still, she has memories of her lost love and desires to leave Hieto one day to find him. Jordyn's healing skills are easilythe best among the party and her support spells are very handy as well. Jordyn has poor strength and mostly average stats, but she has good defense and magic defense, and extremely high mind power.

Name: Jyantix Cambel
Age: 25
Height: 6'2"
Class: Dragoon
Hometown: Krieger
Special Technique: Dragoon Techs
Physical Traits: Typical Dragoon with blue armor. Slightly long brown hair with black eyes.
Information: The Prince of Krieger and all Dragoons. Jyantix has spent his entire life isolated from technology and trains to become one of the greatest Dragoons of his time. While he may hold a high position of power among his people, he rarely uses it and is a sensative and caring individual. Even though he is young, Jyantix still upholds the honor of being a Dragoon and follows the strict tradition given before him. When his father, Isair, disappears, he is torn between leaving his country to find him or to stay for the people. In the end, he becomes the temporary ruler of Krieger and patiently awaits for his father's return. Jyantix may not have many Dragoon techs, but all of them are useful in their own right and can turn the tide in battle. Among these techs is the signature Dragoon attack, Jump. With this attack, Jyantix leaps into the sky and falls onto his target with his lance, doing nearly double the amount of damage. Jyantix has very high Strength and Defense, and an extremely high amount of HP.

Name: Zythis
Age: Unknown
Height: 6'7"
Class: Black Wizard
Hometown: Unknown
Special Technique: Concentrate
Physical Traits: A person completely hidden underneath a black cloak. All you can see under the hood is a mean looking pair of red eyes. Would easily pass for a villian.
Information: A veteran of the Technology War, Zythis' knowledge of destructive magic is extensive. During the technology war, he studied black magic almost religiously and became one of the few Black Wizards ever known. However, upon studying and using the magic, he twisted and corrupted his soul beyond recognition. For his punishment, he was denied any kind of afterlife and was left to wander the galaxy. After the war, he went to Seneca and became non-existant to everyone around him and was pressumed dead. While hiding, Zythis gained extensive knowledge on everything in the galaxy. Though he continues to remain hidden from society, one day he hopes to travel the galaxy despite being undead and use his magic to help other people with their problems so he might be granted an afterlife after all the years he has suffered through. Zythis' knowledge of all that is around him is quite possibly greater than anybody else in the galaxy, and while his ability to cast black magic has suffered due to the years he has secluded, his ability to wield powerful destructive magic is a valuble asset to the party. Concentrate, Zythis' special technique, allow his to reach into his inner mind and greatly inhance the power of the spell he is casting. Zythis' stats vary greatly. He has poor Defense and Strength, and a moderate amount of HP, but he also has good evasion, very high magic defense, and extremely high intelligence.

*There will be some temporary characters as well... they don't have a very large role, however.

Planets

Hume Planets:

Xillith

The home planet of the largest hume city in the known universe, Nastir. Also home of the Advanced Technological Federation and houses the single largest army ever created. It gained it's enourmous wealth from the victory in the Technology Wars and still has a large income from towns the ATF raids ever since Jiren came into power. Other than these 2 feats, however, the planet is a barren wasteland as it has been drained of all of it's natural resources to feed the creation of the ATF's massive army. Later on down the line, the planet is nearly destroyed by Tyrel and he uses it to drain it of it's true essence within the core (The Essence of Life).

Miare

A small planet home of the Kingdom of Hieto. They have access to decent technology while they still maintain an absolute monarchy as their form of government. Several years ago, their original town was completely annihilated by an attack by the ATF due to failure of cooperating with a trade pact. The people reformed and created New Hieto. Outside of these 2 cities, their is also a fair share of the ultra-rare mineral Admanite in the mountain chain, but the country lacks the army and technology to wipe out the significant threat of monsters roaming across the chain. There also have been rumors of an extremely hot region lying beyond the mountain chain from abstract scans, though no physical proof has been found...

Necco

A fairly large planet home of the second largest hume city, Seneca (voted "Galaxy's Best Place to Live" for 10 years in a row by "Century News"). Unlike Nastir, however, Seneca gains it's wealth from being situated in the center of the chain of planets and is a neccessary stop for any space travel to refuel and just simply catch a break from being a space cruiser for an extended period of time. Seneca also differs from it's counterpart by providing several sociable places such as "Erica's Spacelife Entertainment" and several exquiset dining areas. Another town that lies upon Necco is Genchi. It is, according to legend, the place were the first katana was crafted and contained the very first swordsmen known to humes. Necco also has several outlying forests surrounding it and a swamp that is almost as large as Seneca itself. The swamp is rumoured to be the home of a ancient religious cult thousands of years ago. A few other towns scattered across the planet also seem to prosper from Seneca's wealth as well.

Highwind

The smallest planet in the galaxy is also home to the race known as the Dragoons. The Dragoons follow a strict code set before them ages ago that prevents them of using any technology and almost cutting them off from the rest of the galaxy if not for a few dropships that roam by and deliver some visitors once every few years. The small planet is essientially a giant forest with the exception of Krieger, a town were the Dragoons thrive and is ruled over by a fairly large castle. Their temporary leader, Prince Jyantix Cambel, is more curious about the tales of technology from affar and is more easy going leader than Isair, his father. Thus, this results in several people liking him, but his lack of dicipline somewhat weakens the unity of the race.

Maxis

The single largest planet known to humes. It contains a countless number of scattered towns and cities, the rumoured dying place of the Altan Race, mountains larger than any known in the galaxy, a forest with ghosts searching endlessly for their loved ones, and the original capital of the galaxy, Grand Negril. The supposed King of the planet, Edwin, has power over only a small number of towns due to his poor leadership skills. The planet also served as one of the primary battlegrounds for the Technology War and has never recovered from it's terrible defeat by the ATF several years ago. Since their defeat, the King was forced to step down, seperating the unity of the towns and making each one of them their own seperate outlying territories. Newer technology has also been difficult to come by and the planet has, since then, seemed forgotten by time.

Marina

An average sized planet completely covered by water with the exception of a few outlying islands. Rain is quite commonplace, and real sunlight can be very difficult to come by. The few islanders rely on a magic spell by the Island Chief to produce artificial light for living purposes. The absence of technology is only second to Highwind as the people upon Marina make a good living with what they have and have no desire for anything else. They also believe in a legend that there was a city named Alventan were the Altans and Humes lived together and was one of the mightiest cities of it's time. However, the city is believed to be in the depths of the ocean and it has not been proven that it even exists at all. Also, Marina is the sister planet of Talfurnus.

Talfurnus

The exact opposite of it's neighboring and sister planet, Marina. The only similarity known is the planet size itself. Talfurnus' average temperature during the daytime is 101, while the temperature plummits at night to around 47 daily. The entire planet is essientially a massive desert as sand covers nearly every corner of the planet. Despite these harsh living conditions, Talfurnus has a relatively large population and is fairly advanced in the technology department. What Talfurnus lacks, however, is any law to govern the people. Every hume that has tried to bring order to the planet has either failed miserably or been assasinated by thugs that benefit from the anarchy. The thugs truly run the planet; vicious cage fights with monsters and humes at the Uccidere are daily, and lootings and murders are nearly commonplace. The most populated city on Talfurnus, Calsiem, is the prime source of the crimes commited and the thug's main hideaway. Even so, the thugs are actually liked by a good bit on other planets since they constantly cause disruption within the ATF by looting from their tradeships and gaining more powerful technology to use and sell. Can they really be considered an ally of Dash, his party, and the rest of the galaxy against the ATF?

Alania

An relatively moderate size planet uninhabitable due to deadly radiation and gases on the surface. The Verlorens, a group of humes lashed upon due to their religious affiliations, were forced to settle upon the planet since there was nowhere else to go. However, this did not stop the Verlorens as they used incredible technology at the time to great a floating city above the surface of the planet. Since then, they have gained respect and are now accepted among society in general, regardless of their beliefs. A conflict between the Verlorens and the ATF rose weeks before the annihilation of Nastir, and it still remains without a resolution. While it appeared unlikely that any major war would ensue, the Verlorens hold a grudge against the ATF and will gladly pitch in their effort in order to wipe them out completely. The floating city, now called Salcobrena, has continued to expand and grow over the years and is now the third largest city in the galaxy. Since the planet is void of any natural resources, the Verlorens rely on the nearby planet Korrall for their source of income.

Korrall

A small planet that holds more resources than any planet in the galaxy. It's entire surface is almost completely covered by endless fields of massive crystals that grow from the rich yet light starved soil. Below the surface lies minerals and riches that even the ATF would desperately want and use. However, with the great abundance of resources comes a price: Below the surface lies fearsome beasts and monsters that take the lives of Verloren Miners everyday. The brave souls that traverse the deep Korrall Mines are recognized univeresly for their efforts and are paid very well when all is said and done. The one nameless town that does exist upon Korrall is surrounded by a crystal-built wall and must cope with the monsters that roam the surface everyday. Their are also legends that strange and powerful beings exist deep within the core of Korrall, though it is likely never to be proven since miners already struggle to bring up the resources everyday and the effort, time, and hume lives required to get to the core would never be worth it in the long run.

Elor

An average size planet that is known throughout the galaxy for it's tragedy that took place just 2 years ago. At one point in time, the planet was envied for it's non-chalant lifestyle and was regarded by many an even better place to live than Seneca. Technology was fair but more than enough to get a person by, and many people went about their life unknown of the galaxy's troubles. Throw in the fact that Elor had a relative absence of monsters, and the planet seemed as if it was the perfect place to live... until the unthinkable happened. While experimenting with an elixer that could bring about a longer and healthier life, the desired result was the opposite, and turned the infected into a slow-walking, mindless, undead killer that feasted upon hume flesh. The viral disease spread around quickly, as anyone that was bitten from an infected hume was quick to become one of the undead as well. Castastrophe ensued, and the population rapidly fell everyday. In a desperate move with knowledge gained from a study that the virus was powered by sunlight, the remaining survivors shot a missile into the air that injected the atmosphere with a dark cloud that prevented sunlight from getting in. The study proved to be wrong, however, and it did nothing to help the cause. Little is known to have happened after the failed attempt to destroy the virus. Most believe that everyone was wiped out; some believe that there are still survivors among the planet still trying to find a hopeless cure. Whatever the case, the downfall of Elor is commonly known throughout the galaxy and is looked upon as one of the most tragic and misunderstood events in humekind. Orbiting Elor is also a decent sized space-station unknown to most people's existance. It is rumored that it was a joint effort between several planets for research development for the better of humekind, but it is near impossible to gain access to it now since the only way to enter the station is to gain access on a hidden teleporter on Elor. Will the mystery of the virus and rumors about the space station be solved by Dash and his party?

Non-Hume Planets:

Lavonia

The longtime homeplanet and birthplace of the Lavonians. The planet itself, hidden away from humes by extremely advanced Lavonian technology, is absolutely massive. It is 25 times larger the Maxis and houses the entire Lavonian race until recently. Nothing is known on how the Lavonian's live and what their lifestyle is like, although the extreme few that know of their existance are aware of technology still beyond the understanding of humes. Since then, the Lavonians have chose to find another planet to live upon due to the growing threat of the ATF at the time and to secluded from all humes in general. The only 2 Lavonians that stayed behind were Lacey and Tyrel. Also upon Lavonia is the Fortress of Lavonia. This massive, 125-story castle was the pedestal from which the King ruled from since the beginning of the race.

That's all the major info I guess. Here a few more tidbits:

- I'm using RPG Maker 2003 to create the game.
- Tyrel, the villian, wages a war against mankind because he thinks of them as unworthy to inhabit the universe. He also *MAJOR FINAL FANTASY 7 SPOILER!* does something even worse and more tragic than the death of Aeris'.*END FINAL FANTASY 7 SPOILER*. He wields dual Katanas, has short, black hair, is 19 years of age, can use dark matter to be in two differet places at once, and can create parallel dimensions (Not to mention I'll make him use the very sophistacated lEnglish... kinda cool IMO 8) )
- Some tributes to the real FFs will be present.

It's going to be a while before I'm done, but I hope you enjoy the info I've posted on it thus far! Keep your eyes open for more parts of the story being added later!

While it looks good, copyright/trademark infringement would be an obstacle unless you can get the creators of Final Fantasy to write off allowing a 'sequel' game to be made.

Not neccisarily. I'm not the only one that has made a Final Fantasy based RPG using the RPG Maker anyway (Google in Final Fantasy: Endless Nova). As far as I know, no action has been taken against the creator of this title, and as long as the game is not sold for profit and credit is given to the original creators of the Final Fantasy Content, then I believe I'm cleared.

I give your idea 3/10. It needs more originality, more concision in its vision and gameplay mechanics.

Jesus Christ, lay the hell off. The story is barely complete, the minute details have yet to be filled in, and I haven't even really bothered worrying about the gameplay mechanics yet. Hell, what I just posted was a outline and only skims the true meat of the basic story.

Hmm, maybe remove association with Final Fantasy, just keep Eternal Essence. Also, are you using a pre-built engine or making one? Will you be coding the game from scratch; what language will you use? Is there any plans to publish this, or is it shareware? You need to focus more on the game seeing the light of day.
