I don't believe that such a high percentage of the overall population will be 65 and above in 2011.
I didn't realize that the "male" and "female" below the graph was a legend, either, until I've read some of the comments in this thread.

It is the percentage of those who are male/female who are over 65. not the overall population. I think I messed up with that too the first time looking at it.

Ah, I see, lol. I'm stupid. :P
I suck at things that involve visuo-spatial perception, and that includes graphs. I don't think all Aspies are good at reading graphs. They can be helpful, but I need an explanation to go along with them. I have dyspraxia, so it probably makes sense.

I'm no good at vocabulary so I just looked up dyspraxia in the dictionary. Anyway, I think I may have dyspraxia too since I suck at sports.
EDIT: OMG I asked that question before lol!!

I think they made a poor color choice. They should have done two contrasting colors instead of two shades of blue.

I didn't have a problem at all really. There is female/male color coded... the colors are too similar I think, but hey, not my graph. I typically think of the normal order as male/female, but again, not my graph. Maybe they were listing alphabetically? Maybe the person who made it was female, and just chose to look at that first?

To me it seemed pretty straight forward really.
