I know this is an Aspie forum but as you know I feel my sisters have some issues (AS or not I'm not a professional so for now I'm going NT) :-) Since I know some parents here have both NT and Aspie children I thought I'd ask a question here about that. My little sister who's 8 now was real "clingy" talkitive to a new relative it was a male hugging up on him talking NON STOP! My mom mention the 10 year a couple years back did this with an uncle (step dad's brother) and had the same behaviors. SO parents what is it about little girls "attaching" being "clingy" "chatter box" to these male relative figures? Not sure if your little girl has behaved like this but considering both the 10 and now 8 year old has shown this behavior I presume it to be normal NT behavior I assume. :-)

NT little girls like to talk. The mom in the family down the street, 4 NT's girls, tells me it is non-stop in her house, everyone talking and expecting her to be engaged in the conversation. She's a social butterfly and it STILL is too much for her!

As for those male uncles ... I don't know if it's a pattern, but my NT daughter totally adores her one and only uncle and definitely will turn that all that talk energy onto him when he's in the room. He loves it, so all is good. They get along great and have a ton of fun.
