hi!

I just learned about this place. I have a son who is a sophomore in high school on the spectrum and a husband that I believe is an undiagnosed aspie.

here to learn and maybe even figure a few things out.

Two of them!! - Poor you. I hope that patience and insight are traits you're well endowed with.

Oh yes, and an ability to keep going without a lot of support.

Thanks you for the welcome, everyone! I've already been reading a good bit...

You made me smile - I needed that this morning. Honestly, I am quite near the end of my supply of those things. Very weary in the way - our home is a soup of hidden disabilities, including my add self. I had no doubt that my 16 yo had sensory issues from the start and was convinced he had some form of autism by the time he was 6 months (I have always worked in the disability community - currently as an advocate) - have suspected AS in my DH for a very long time, but he refuses to be evaluated. We have made it 23 years, but I am not sure what the long term outlook will be...

Hi all! I am new here, and I am so glad to have found this site. I am married to a man that I believe is an undiagnosed aspie. He has taken online assessments, but he refuses to seek a professional diagnosis. In addition I have 3 boys, and I also suspect that 2 of them also fall on the autism spectrum. I have been married 6 years, and I am so frustrated by so much! I don't know how much longer I can do this! I hope to find some support and a place to vent, I am seriously stressed.

Howdy... you should copy everything you just wrote, and copy it... then RE POST as a "New Topic". Otherwise, many WP regulars may not see your post. You hit the REPLY button on another new user's thread. *smile*

Hi Julie!

We should get to know each other. I've got three kids in the spectrum. I don't think my husband is, but he's different in his own way with an interesting form of dyslexia and ADHD. He's a wonderful quirky guy.

I think we all have a little Aspie in us, like that commercial for that rum with the pirate.
