I believe it could be done if the story was based on people communicating online. We need writers, people with editing software, Audio effect specialist, People willing to record themselves doing a little acting, ect.
Theres good vids on you tube for learning basic film tech and such, I'll post links if this starts to develop interest.
I think it should be something where it is known that all the characters are from WP, and it should be kinda inspirational as opposed to dramatic.
In my mind it would be a film about someone suggesting we make a film and in the end it becomes some major hit, but we never really show the film, just hint at it and show a bunch of us oddballs collaborating and showing what we can do.
Just want to know if anyone feels like commiting to a project where we try to include anyone and everyone.
Its just a movie about a bunch of "us" trying to make a movie. We sort of define our own strengths and weaknesses while doing it. It would really be moving if some NV could write themself into it. The end product we will put on YouTube.
Remember, even if the video quality is poor, If we get the right story and soundtrack we can make up for it.
This opens a lot of cans of worms of course because of people critisizing other peoples work and what not, so first anyone interested should submit what they want to do and then we vote on who is right for what and then just go from there and take it all in stride to try to create the coolest thing we can.
Of course we would have to find some other place on the internet to be our main collaboration point I think, and there's a lot of locistical problems involved, but I just want to be optimistic and do something.

I like that idea. We need to show the world, what great people we are, and this is the best way to do it.:)

Willing to make an appearance? It could be anything, Just reacting to something, show some of your honest nature while relating it to the story. I really feel that I want to be sort of a director/editor but I dont have the right software. Anybody got ideas on the best freeware?
My hope is that everyone will do their best and contribute something and we'll have a lot of material to sift through and come up with a legitimate masterpiece.

Digidesign used to offer a free version of AVID (practically industry standard video editing software) on the download. --I'm not sure if it's still available.

I'll checkit out. Kinda looks like I'll have to flesh this out a little more to get people interested. Oh well, I'm jobless.

I have some cool video editing effects which work with Windows Movie Maker. I also enjoy graphic design (I use PaintShop Pro) and am a writer. Project sounds fun.

Good, some response.
I want to start out the film showing autistic behavior that others would find disconcerting and then delve into the characteristics that we have that are the most positive. Kinda connect the behavior to actual mind. Give input please.

Let's break it down to specifics to make this easier.

What kind of behaviors do we find others see as disconcerting (or believe that they would). YMMV.

What characteristics do we see as the most positive?

I'd be quite willing to work on this making an appearance, editing, sound, essentially whatever is necessary. I have access to good editing software (both graphic and video [Sony Vegas, Photoshop, PaintShop Pro]) and can find almost any music necessary, I could even write if it's necessary. This does sound like it could be fun and even become large, maybe something that could be compiled into a full length documentary (or a series.)

Rather than "people find disconcerting" to "this is what we see as positive" maybe have "this is what people see." "this is how we see it/why we believe we do it," and "this is what we see as good."
