Reminded me that I could get a 50 piece chicken mcnugget order for $11 at McDonalds. That's like 22 cents a nugget, I'd be nuts not to get some mcnuggets, I don't think I can get (good) chicken that cheap at Walmart!

I don't celebrate national holidays, after what happened, last year. An Ex-NT friend walked off on me, for having a bad day, last Canada Day, in 09.

It depends why you had the bad day I guess, but you shouldn't give up completely on Canadian holidays! I usually don't like the crowds, but I go out now and then. The olympics were enough celebration to last a million years. Sometimes there is good free music though.

Freedom of speech to idiots
1: freedom to be the biggest @#$ hole imaginable, and think you are invincable because people tolerate it too much.
2: freedom to debate with personal attacks instead of intellegance

Those two reasons are why I'm not in the mood for celebrating.
Freedom of speech
3: freedom to protest something you are against
4: freedom to debate intellectualy without going to prison. :P
Other stuff
5: Ownership of guns.
6: Being allowed to worship a God without going to jail and getting beat up or worse.

Me and mother are spending a quiet evening at home with fruit berry pie, BBQ sasage (I hate BBQ chicken), and salad. My father and sister will have their usual party today in the comfort of their back yard, which has a view of over half their city.

I am not celebrating 4th of July either... oh wait, now I read your first post, you meant which other Americans are not?
The only thing I am going to celebrate is that it is Sunday (including going to church) and hopefully nice weather like today. :sunny:

No, because I'm not American. That day does not even enter my thoughts most of the time.

Difference between a regular day and 4th of July: fireworks

Other than that, no major deal. My family are the god, guns, and flag type of Republicans. I see them all the time. We have cookouts at least once a month.

I hope that you all enjoy, your Non Fourth of July. I've had a good, Non Canada Day. :D

I'm in America but it's about 8;40pm here now & I didn't do anything special at all today. My family didn't do anything & I have very few friends. Not doing anything doesn't really bother me thou

I don't have anyone to celebrate it with this year, so I'm having to settle for watching the fireworks in solitude from my apartment's balcony. And posting on internet forums.

I also went for a nice sunset walk at the lake earlier, and was sort of amused to find that 90% of the people there seemed to be immigrants like myself (I heard at least 3 different languages being spoken), who presumably weren't celebrating either. I didn't feel quite so alone there.

I am not American, so I don't celebrate it.

Though I didn't celebrate Canada Day either, on account of not having any friends to go see fireworks with and not having any myself...
