Every one in my school called me Sheldon when I do something "weird", So I look into it on google and look at this:

He also has symptoms of obsessive compulsive personality disorder and Asperger syndrome. ( http://bigbangtheory.wikia.com/wiki/Sheldon_Lee_Cooper )

Several viewers have noted that Sheldon's behavior is consistent with Asperger syndrome.[3][41][42] The writers have stated that they did not use Asperger syndrome as a basis for the character, but instead thought of his actions as "Sheldony".[41] Series co-creator Bill Prady stated: "We write the character as the character. A lot of people see various things in him and make the connections. Our feeling is that Sheldon's mother never got a diagnosis, so we don't have one".[42] In an interview, Jim Parsons noted the writers' response, but added that in his opinion, Sheldon "couldn't display more traits" of Asperger's.[43] Parsons has read John Elder Robison's memoir Look Me in the Eye about his life with Asperger syndrome, and said that: "A majority of what I read in that book touched on aspects of Sheldon". However, he also stated that "the way [Sheldon's] brain works, it’s so focused on the intellectual topics at hand that thinking he’s autistic is an easy leap for people watching the show to make". ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheldon_Co ... r_syndrome )

The votes were counted and 77.2% of TV Squad readers believed Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory has Asperger's Syndrome. Based on Slate writer Paul Collins' article on the subject and reported by Joel, you were asked your opinion and agreed with Collins. ( http://www.tvsquad.com/2009/08/14/come- ... aspergers/ )

Sure, this thread is being done to death, but I don't care! I love seeing a positive character with Asperger's on TV, whose quirkiness you can laugh at (with), and yet the rest of us Aspies can relate to him.

I wrote an article about this for my Desktop Publishing class. I love the series and love Jim Parsons. He's nominated for an emmy for Sheldon this year. I hope he wins. ^_^

I've always felt that Sheldon hs it- that's probably why I like his characterso much!

he's really organized
he puts high value on his stuff
he's a genius
he's very awkward
he doesn't want to drive (like me!)
he doesn't like when he's talking to you and you don't answer him
he speaks formally
he doesn't show much expression except when he's smug when he's right
he defies conformity :)
logical and makes sense

and many other observations that lead you to believe he has it

Wow, this is only the thousandth time we've had this discussion!

Also, the creators said that he didn't have Asperger's. He's just weird.

Everything about Sheldon says to me he's an aspie!

Next to Dexter Morgan, he is my favourite television character purely because even though I'm not a science genius and I hate sci fi I always find myself laughing at little things he does that remind me of myself.

I love Sheldon :D
