Jeans dilemma.

So I went into a shop and saw some cool skater shoes and immediately thought, "These shoes need jeans." However, which kind of jeans would look best with them? I'm quite tempted to try some skinny jeans for once but I'm a little worried the combination might be a visual disaster! On the other hand, I'm not big at all: 5 foot 9, 30 inch waist and UK9/US10 shoes. Oh, and I'm a heterosexual man so obviously I don't want to look gay. Then again I've seen straight men look good in skinny jeans so...*shrug*

One thing on shoes: I'm not a fan of Vans "Off the wall" shoes or Converse. They don't look right to me.

What do you think is the best combination of jeans and skater shoes?

I tend to avoid the skate shoe and skinny jean combo myself, unless the jeans are long enough (most skinny's I wear have a tendancy to creep up my ankle and look too short). I'd suggest a baggier pair of wide leg or bootleg jeans myself.

When I got there the only jeans in my size were black, and the shoes are white,and neither of those colours look good with my face. It took a little while to find an good combination for my top half.

I don't really know about today's fashions, so I can't really help you.

I'm no fashion buff, but I do wear skater shoes quite often. I tend to pair them with either boot cut jeans or cargo pants/shorts.

I just wear 'em with whatever.

make your own fashion statement and wear what you really like-I like skater shoes and wear them for balance issues as they sit flat and are comfy on my feet even though I am too old and too uncoordinated to step on a skateboard and wear many different styles of jeans with them and they look good even though I am not in the greatest shape.I like how stuff feels.
