Could this be the 10 millionth thread we have had on Adam? Maybe?

I really think we need to make an official Adam thread that is stickied so that we don't have hundreds of Adams threads ever day.

Anyways yes a good movie. Although I felt Adams Aspergers was portrayed a little too severe and didn't like how they ended it showing that he isn't capable of a relationship.

I didn't like how it was advertised as a romantic comedy. If they had been honest and advertised it as a drama that would have made better sense.

I talked to a neurotypical woman friend of mine. She was interested in seeing it, and I said sure, go ahead. I don't think it is a bad film.

My favorite aspie film is "Mary and Max", but there are already threads for that too.

Yeah, let's sticky an Adam thread. I'm thoroughly up my butt with it.

I wanted to see it, but it was not in theaters anywhere near me, and all the bittorrent links online were fake.

I watched this yesterday while I was stoned and laughed a lot at the things Adam did and said. Although I think Adam was an extreme example and I didn't like the way he was portrayed as an 'anerak'. It was a nice and educational film for NT's.

I was sad at the end when the girl chose not to go to California with him. I think it highlighted the uncertainty of Aspies in relationships. But I think it was more fitting than a typical hollywood ending where the girl and boy dissapear into the happy every after. She made the right choice because she would never be sure of his feelings toward her. As he was saying that he needed her to help him get through the day and tell him what happened in his social interactions, I just thought: "Oh no man you've blew it big time now."

I have had two relationships in my life and to this day I could not say if I loved them or not, or why I liked having them with me.

I watched Adam last week. I liked it a lot! It seems to me it helps making an invisible thing like AS/ASD visible, tangible .. real! One favourite scene is when Adam and Harlan were having lunch on a bench, and I think Adam tried three times to start on a monologue about his Big Interest. lolol

I've seen Adam and I liked it a lot. Probably my favourite film about AS.
