I went to Bonnaroo a couple months ago, first festival ever for me. Looking to do more in the future.

So, anyone else? Bonnaroo, Coachella, Rothbury, Glastonbury, etc...

I went to Summerfest this summer. It's held in the state where I live. I want to go to Coachella and Glastonbury some day.

I wish...

One reason I want to live in England is because of the festivals there.

I wish I could go to Wacken Open Air or Ozzfest!

If that's your thing, Coachella is always awesome. There's Voodoo Fest (rock), Essence Fest(R&B), and Jazz Festival (rock, jazz, blues, bluegrass) here in New Orleans. Big Day Out in Australia (Sydney, I believe).

Been to Glastonbury a while back, Cropredy (Fairport Convention's folk festival) a couple of times, one or two others.

I find them a very draining (but enjoyable) experience, though not anything like as bad as the big LRP festivals I've been to. I also get the strong impression that going to festivals of any kind solo is seen as a terrible social failure.

I am hoping to go to Voodoo this year, but at this point in the game it's just wishful thinking.

I've been to U-Fest, which is a local metal festival here in Phoenix. I went last year. This year they had a few more mainstream bands than usual, but it's usually great. I had a kickass time. Got to see a couple of my favorite bands perform and met them. All That Remains, Skindred, Statix-X and Powerman 5000 were among the big name artists, with a Rev-Theory like band called Burn Halo among the local bands (the other, better local bands have names that are hard to remember, which is very common for Phoenix-area bands).
