In fact, ruveyn's article doesn't even mention that the group is associated with a larger Christian umbrella group; it only mentions that the Taliban claimed credit for the murder and said they were Christians trying to convert people.

It is not my news source. It was A.P. a widely used news distribution network. If you don't like A.P. use another source more to your liking.

And I did. The Associated Press is about on par with a public defender as to how well they do their job.

Agreed. AP and Reuters are the media tool of the corporate establishment, they are not independent of each other, and do not offer alternatives. They both essentially belong to and are controlled by the Rothschilds. So obviously there will be an anti-muslim bent in everything that they put out. Same as with the Israel issues in the press.

Tsk, tsk... *sigh* The media always takes sides. Hell, if Time has a picture of girl lacking a nose for their front cover, that must say something, but I am of the opinion that the Taliban is a bunch of jingoistic, misogynist assholes.

Yes they are what you say they are.... but they are being persecuted by an equally crazy group, called Christians for the most part.

The problem we're trying to point out here, is that the media controls what the "non-combatants" of the war and persecution are seeing and thinking about it. There is no light and dark side, no child of the light, child of the dark. There is no right and wrong in this situation, there is one side, and there's the other side. BOTH are being misrepresented, and not equally so.

I, myself, am not a firm believer in the concept of good and evil. They're moral constructs.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for ending the lives of 10 unarmed people.

A detailed fact.

I claim responsibility for killing that corrupt scum Ted Stevens.

Just because you claim responsibility for something doesn't mean that the actions is yours to own.

Doublespeak topic

Maybe Taliban wannabes. Spread the terror.

And that's just speculation. The only thing that can be confirmed is that they were robbed and killed by bandits in an area known for bandits.

The problem is that it goes much deeper than that and into economics and international politics. It goes much more in depth but at its core, it's a matter of influence and control over the region to control landspace and resources. We're perceived as a country who supports corrupt governments who abuse their people...which is mostly true in the Middle East, sadly. Then there's the case of our blind, undying fetish for Israel which adds to it the level that we may have a problem directly with Muslims.

I know that Christians have been known to persecute Muslims, but could you give me a specific example of Christians persecuting the Taliban? Publishing unflattering articles doesn't count (equal) persecution if the other side is actively bombing people.

If Israel ceased to exist tomorrow we would still have a problem with Muslims. Their religious imperative is to convert the world to Islam, by force, if necessary.

Speculative terror topic

There will be more of this "banditry" after the US, Canada and all other countries and aid orgs leave. And that terror will be on the export list.
