I have this thing where if you try to explain a concept, I will be unable to understand what it is, or be very slow trying to understand. anybody else experience this? I get lost in very simple things like directions, I can't keep more than 2 or 3 items in my head, i have very poor short term memory.

I do, constantly. People need to repeat instructions to me about five times before I have grasped them completely.

I'm terrible with directions. I can do the first few roads I get told, then I'd need to ask someone else for more directions.

It also goes for if I'm giving someone directions, even around my neighbourhood. I've lived here all my life so I know it really well, but it's actually impossible for me to direct someone else to where I live.

Often I just forget that somebody is speaking to me, sometimes several times within the same explanation. And you are correct about instructions too. Spoken, I have no chance of understanding, written it takes me many slow readings.
