Final bills from my old home finally paid off. Feels like I have now properly put one era of my life behind me and can make a fresh start in the new place.

I got a birthday card & check in the mail from my parents today. When I spoke to mom on the phone on Thursday which was my birthday, she said how she wished it would of been in on my bDay(she had mailed it later than she wanted cuz her & dad were on a trip last week & got back Sunday). I said it was no big deal as long as I got it in. I'm not that into bDays & holidays & things so the actual day doesn't really matter to me.

Relieved more than happy, but it'll do.

We had a microburst, I guess, where I live. Weather records aren't showing anything above 40 mph gusts, so it must have been very local. Slammed into my house some time after midnight, woke me. Went out and checked this morning - no loose shingles, thank God, and no power outages in my area. One of my neighbors did have roof damage, thankfully minor.

Checked regional outage maps for local power companies - scattered outages all over. I suspect there were several of these last night.

And now I get to have my coffee and eat breakfast, :-)
