Exactly...

I would have a problem with it because the famous child would get special treatment & privileges from the other students & the teachers.

I would definitely mind it if that were to happen.

Otherwise I wouldn't care at all.

For the record: I went to nursery with the son of a famous Norwegian singer, and elementary school with 2 daughters of semi-famous people and a boy who was among the first youngsters to be host on a popular program for kids.
None of them got any special treatment. In fact one of the girls was bullied quite a bit (unrelated to her parent's status).

I probably wouldn't even know unless someone told me. I really don't see why I should care, honestly.

There's always going to be kids that are favored over another by classmates and teachers. As far as the media harassing the children... I wouldn't really worry about that, either. You can't just walk onto a high school campus.

I've heard this was why Michael Jackson had his kids cover their faces when in public.

Wow, I had forgotten about this thread. It's always so nice to see these good old threads being resurrected :D

To add to my previous statement in this thread, the boy who was host for a kid's show got some positive attention from kids thinking it was cool to see him on TV, asking him what it was like etc. The girl with the most famous parent would later become tired of hearing about it every time her parent gave an interview somewhere and people would talk to her about it. I most certainly didn't envy her!
