My favourite member of The Kinks is Mick Avory, who was the original drummer. Him and I are so much alike in looks and personality, that he should have been my father. We also sound alike. It freaked me out at first about a year ago, as the truth can be hard to face after wearing a mask for so long, but the truth doesn't bother me these days. Sorry dad. You're a great father. :D

I'm partial to Jimmy Page as his acoustical playing is absolutely 'haunting.'

And I'm impressed with Pete Townsend of the Who - (and especially Quadrophenia).

(It's a shame to see them in their respective ages now).

Zach Hill of the band Hella. His drumming is one of a kind.

Ville Valo of HIM. I like his voice and I like the heartagram symbol he made up. But the biggest reason I like him is because of this: http://funeralofhearts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/himwallpaper.jpg

I also really like Johnny Rzeznik of The Goo Goo Dolls. (What is it with me and guys named Johnny?)

Oh, probably Johnny Marr (The Smiths). Bit of a genius, that lad.

Off the top of my head, I'd say Gen from Psychic TV. But, Dave Davies of the Kinks. And, Jonie Lewie when he sings In the Kitchen at Parties. Or Nick Lowe when he sings Breaking Glass. Hmm... and... and... and... Brian Ferry but only in Roxy Music era. Um....

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of The Mars Volta. He has such a unique style and he never seems to run out of ideas. His solo albums and side projects are amazing, too. He releases several albums a year. Worth checking out, if you haven't heard of him.

Peter Tägtgren of Hypocrisy is another favourite of mine. Probably the best thing to ever happen to death metal. He has been in several bands, over the years. His other 2 current bands are Bloodbath and Pain. If you love metal, but don't know Tägtgren... YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

That is a fantastic choice!! Probably only number 3 on mine though, due to the short run and resulting lack of material.

My favorites are:

Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park as he's so versatile with instruments, has added singing to his rapping and has production skills too. What more could you want from a musician? His Fort Minor project is awesome too!

Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and Nirvana as he also has some versatility, is non-stop (look at his contributions and side-projects) and seems an amazing guy!
