Cartoon character named Sabu

Has anyone ever heard of a cartoon character that is a dog named Sabu? I googled this and I found a tiger that is sometimes also called Zabu and a giant from Jupiter named Sabu. Anyone heard of a dog?

the only sabu i'd ever heard of was the late indian actor who was in several sword-and-sandal flicks. he was a real dish, btw.

There's a lemur named Zaboomafoo (often called Zabo) on a kid's show on PBS. Haven't heard of a dog, though.
