Modern classical music. (Warning: if you think everything after Brahms is rubbish, you probably will not enjoy these. Especially the second one.)
The first is a wind quintet written about halfway through this year.
The second is a piece for the string cohort of a symphony orchestra (finished last Friday!), with each part being independent. Both played by my notation software, so some effects (col legno bowing, stopped horn) are not heard.
The string piece is a textural piece that sounds not unlike some Ligeti or Xenakis.

I love modern music-- I'm listening to the wind quintet now, and I think it's great. I'd love to hear it played by a real quintet! My favorite thing is the way it sounds so much like different types of wind. Really, really nice.

Nice stuff. I really liked the first one. :D

I wish I could compose music like that, but I have been playing rock and blues so long my brain just goes I -----------IV---------I--------------V----IV----I (insert turn around).

Put VI in there and you can sound like the '50.
