Do you think they would ever make a sequel to Forest Gump, The story would begin where the original movie ended. Forrest and his son Forrest jr. would be the main characters. Maybe Forrest jr. would end up going into the army like his dad, and would be shipped off to fight in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I was hoping that they'd make a sequal. It would be an interesting movie to see. I'd pay big bucks to see it.

I don't think it needs a sequel. The original one had enough closure in its ending that it made a sequel unnecessary.

Or like this:

Contrally to his dad Forest Jr. is smart, someone who would be able to fully grasp situations. So, a sequel with Forest Jr. in Iraq or Afghanistan, without the naive regard of his father, would be much more dark.

The original was a self contained story. A movie about his son - well, since his son was supposed to just be a regular child, what is it about his son that would lead to an interesting movie? I just don't find it to be a very compelling premise.

If they made a sequel I would lose all faith in Hollywood, there is no need to make a sequel and all it would be is a quick cash in.

Forrest Gump was a f*****g awful, maudlin, pandering piece of s**t. It does not need a sequel.

There absolutely needs to be a sequel to Forrest Gump. It should be called Forrest Gump II: The Revenge. It would be about him going back to Vietnam to free left behind POWs. There would be yet another sequel called The Revenge II: Forrest Gump, just to confuse people on the continuity. This time he teams up with Karl Childers (who would simply be called Slingblade in this movie) to rescue his son in Afghanistan. Tom Hanks and Billy Bob Thorton in one movie. With miniguns. That's a sure fire hit right there, Hollywood.

Forrest Gump was a great movie! I agree that there shouldn't be a sequel but how the hell do you not like that movie?
