Hmmm came to think a lot about stuffed animals and so on... Does anyone else feel the need to comfort one specific (or even more) stuffed animals???

If yes what kind of stuffed animal is it??? What does it look like??? How does it feel???

I myself love comforting my "fox"... And yes as the name says it IS a fox... But its REALLY soft and cute if you ask me :):):)

[edit] Just wondered if this was a common "AS" thing or if it's "just me" again ^^ [/edit]

I have a vast collection of Stuffed Animals. There's Chico, who looks like my Real Chico, Little Yorkshire, who's a Yorkshire Terrier, Spot, who's a Dalmation, Jack, who's a Beanie Baby that's covered with Union Flags, Ashleigh, the Pink Bear and a whole bunch of other ones.

I have a lot of stuffed animals, but I don't sleep with them. Instead I have 'Pilly' who is a miniature pillow that I was given at birth. I cannot sleep without him. He's getting rather raggedy and worn now, fifteen and a half years later.

I never got very attached to stuffed toys or dolls.

I thought I ought to have something, sometimes I'd try sharing the bed with a teddy bear or something and when I woke up, it would be under the bed - tragic.

However I sucked my thumb until I was about 10 and got a plate for my teeth (that my thumb had pushed out). And the cat liked sleeping on my bed, so that was better than a toy in my book. Except the cat didn't like it when I rolled over and effectively catapulted it (pun oops) off the bed.

I did have quite a few stuffed toys that I'd use as characters in elaborate theatrical setups to make my own western cowboy and indian adventures. I was very fond of the cisco kid and f-troop etc when I was little. And I had a mobo horse - a mechanical horse that did well for pulling the arm chair stage coach. Or we'd line up four or five big boxes and do train robberies. Good fun.

I've still got mum's teddy bear that she had when she was a kid.

This is my bear :D.

His name is Cameron.

I also have a sheep and various other soft toys.

The specific term is plushie-a toy that is more like a friend

I dont think anyone particularly "likes" being "Effectively catapulted off the bed" ^^... Atleast i wouldn't like it ^^...

Usually I prefer to cuddle my mutts, but there's something really comforting about giving my Lab stuffed animal Blackie a really tight squeeze...

Honey Bear!! ! :D

He's a medium-sized teddy, and probably felt really soft at one point, but now his fur's gone not-very soft. Um ... he has a hole in a rather unfortunate place  we've tried sewing him up but it came undone again lol.

I've had him (and Mummy Bear, who's huge and soft because I don't cuddle her as she's too big to have in bed) for about 16 years now - I was about 6 months old when I got them :)

Teddies rule! I really wish I had a single so I could have it at my dorm, but now I just sleep with it when I'm visiting home :(.

I have a bunch...I keep dragging them home from yard sales. My favorites are the Artlist dogs (The Dog) with the huge noses, TY's and Gund...although I'll pick up anything that I think is cute.

My house is full of stuffed toys. In this very room I have fifteen penguins, two dragons, two rabbits, a mouse, a turtle, and a prairie dog... Plus Beaker and Miss Piggy.

Even more in the room next door, plus sightings of stuffies in the living room, dining room, kitchen, both rooms on the third floor, and all bedrooms.

One of our more opinionated roommates is this lovely young green dragon:

Her name is Little Slurp, she's 506 years old, and she will eat anything. Including us. (And don't you dare tell her that she's a puppet. She's a strong believer in free will.)
