I don't think I have heard of this from anyone else:

If I yawn too much, and am not careful, it feels as if my windpipe has slipped out of place. Somewhat painful, very disconcerting, I have to work to get it back.Like my former trick knee, if it slips once it is easy for it to happen again soon.

huh....me too...i never thought about it much tbh, this exactly, i feel a movement like a muted crack, like my windpipe rolled to the side...
i have to constantly watch out for my jaw when i yawn also, lest it dislocates. never happened but i know it could.
i also get flashing pain in the head or neck sometimes, a very sudden thing like a nerve snap or something.i often slap my hand very hard on the place where the pain was but by then it's over, so fast it goes...really strong but really fast.
and very strange. don't know what it is......

Ah - the head thing is rare but I occasionally get what is likely the same.I tend to think of meck cracklings as less mysterious, if only because there are so many joints and I hear others talking about it.

well, i don't really mean neck cracling, because i can crack my whole spine at will :D that's really not mysterious to me either, like i said it feels more like a nerve has snapped or something, IN the head...but it can happen in the side of the neck too.
