I went about eight months without an avatar.
My first one was an abstract metal sculpture.
I've also had The Thinker, a Beatles picture, two Doraemon pictures (including the one I have now), two Camus pictures, and I believe that's it.

I just changed mine to the Doraemon movie that will come out in Japan in March of 2010. It's Eiga Doraemon Shin Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan ~Habatake Tenshi Tachi~ [in romaji], and it's a remake of the 1986 Doraemon film, Doraemon: Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan. It'll be the first Doraemon movie released in 3D in Japan, also. Wish I lived there...

Yeah, so I thought it would be nice for people to post a bit about their avatars and why they chose them (after the fact), so I created this thread.

Even if you didn't recently change your avatar, you can still post and tell us about it.

My avatar is a Photoshop of the Mad Hatter and Willy Wonka because they are two of my most favorite Johnny Depp characters. I think they are both really cute, sweet and of course colorful. They've been a huge part of my imagination for almost a year now. I can't believe it's been that long, seems like only yesterday I first discovered them. I've been using this avatar consistently since the day after Christmas, only changing it once briefly to The Crow (Eric Draven) for a couple of days. I changed it back to the Wonka/Hatter one because they reflect my personality better than The Crow does (though I do admit that The Crow is pretty awesome and I'm buying the DVD as soon as I get some more extra money).

You don't have to have a comma to separate the dependent clause if it comes after the independent clause.

Just kidding.

Changed mine. It's a Brian Viveros artwork. Dunno how long I'll have it; the cigarrette in the mouth isn't really "me".

I've changed my avatar and I'm going to stick to the January theme of things, the rest of the month. Mick Avory joined The Kinks in the January of 1964. I have many avatar pictures from that time and month. 8)

I changed my avatar. This time it's a photoshop of Alice from Alice in Wonderland (left) and Susan from Hogfather. They're my two most favorite female movie characters and I felt like they deserved to be my avatar for a little while, especially seems how I usually use male characters.
