You single folks should not let a corporate holiday invented by the greeting card and flower industry get you down. Being single on VD is no different than being single on any other day. And being single is always better than being in a bad relationship. Enjoy your freedom, once you are in a committed relationship, no matter how good it is, part of you will eventually miss this time of your life.

I doubt it'll even cross my mind at all. It'll be a Sunday, so I'll probably be stuck in my apartment reading philosophy papers and watching Star Trek.

Edit: no wait, it'll be a Monday. That won't make a difference anyway.

Wait, it is coming up soon, isn't it? I forgot. It's just another day. I'm glad to be single for that, because the last thing I need right now is some whiny b***h telling me I'm a bad person because I didn't get her flowers for an imaginary holiday. I don't mind getting people things, but I do mind being guilt tripped because I didn't get somebody something that they didn't formally ask for.

I'll be single, but I don't tend to celebrate these holidays. I'm not sure that I should celebrate the deaths of saints.

I'll naturally be single on VD. :roll: Unrequited love doesn't allow for much happiness.

Not that it matters. That holiday isn't exactly celebrated here.

I am newly single as of 10 days ago. So ending up single a few weeks before Valentines Day and having to face it alone=not good. Im not sure what I am going to do for it. Probably nothing. I might pick some flowers from the garden for myself, and buy myself some chocolates, and do some painting or something.

I have kind of realised that I might very well end up a spinster, as I have got to this age and still not married. But I have also realised that there are worse things. Also, I have never been a slouch when it comes to enjoying my freedom and independence.
