When I get in an arguement with my parents or watch part of a zombie movie at night, I have a tendency to put a large immoveable object infront of my door because I'm afraid to be killed in my sleep. If I stop to think about it, it's rather rediculous. I just feel a lot better if I do that. I know I'm safe, but I tend to feel unsafe. Note: My parents aren't violent, etc.

I'm wondering whether other people here have similar experiences. Is it a common issue?

When your parents are as scary as zombies, that's not good.
