I remember a few threads being made with the same theme running of "what do you look for in a partner?"

For something a bit more lighthearted, what I'd like to know is, if you could design the physical embodiment of your ideal partner, who would it be?

Please post pictures and identify who they are. I think, for privacy's sake, it should only be a photo of a public figure. And please, no teasing of people's choices. We like who and what we like.

It doesn't matter if it might be a complete fantasy. Mine certainly is.

He is Ben Whishaw, actor.

Your turn.

Oh c'mon ... I'm straight and even I'm attracted to him!

Not like I am to Joan Severance, though:

He would be dark and swarthy, and not with a boyish face like those namby-pamby ones such as the one featured in the OP's pic. No offence...we all have different tastes!

My man will have a manly face.

Why the sad face?

Your face strikes me as manly, but, since I'm not the crush you are persuing, why should you care about my taste in men, anyway? :P

I never really thought of my face as "manly" but I'm glad you think so. :)

^And here's a perfect example of how y'all can't seem to help injecting your interpersonal dramas in every thread that comes along. This is supposed to be about light-hearted fun....who wants to wade through the same members' attempts to work every woman on WP?

Please note that I didn't contact a mod - I'm saying this directly to the people involved, and I'm trying to be specific about what I find annoying. If i cared about your personal lives, you could post a thread about them and I could read about them there. But since I don't care even a tiny bit about your personal lives, I don't enjoy finding this type of info in random threads.

He's a crowd pleaser, as is Miss Joan. I could be all bi-curious for her.

I really don't understand what is so dramatic about that. To me, it was and example of light-hearted fun. I like both Grisha and all_white and feel their posts are very valuable to WP.

I've been thinking about this, and I'm going to write something more later, but the drama I was referring to is related to the interpersonal relationships of members. I don't care about who is crushing on who, who's using who, blah, blah, blah - so I'm not happy to find that information in a thread where it doesn't belong. What I hope we can both agree on, however, is that the value of any person depends on the standard of measure used - we're not all using the same measure, so we're not all going to get the same result. You're certainly free to like and value whomever you like - just don't expect those feelings to be shared universally, okay?
