I don't understand religion or parent alienation. I am sure those are abstract concepts. But everyone has things about life they don't understand so does that mean everyone has issues with abstract concept? :?

I always figured it meant problems with abstract thinking and that is me. I tend to be concrete. So that was why I needed extra help in school with my school work and needed things modified.

I also have a hard time grasping politics but I have been told that is a difficult topic, so is financial stuff.

I also don't understand why people miss other people, I can understand if they are going away for a really long time but to miss them while they are at work or while you are at work. I do not miss my husband or son when I go to work because I know they were be there when I get home. It's not like I am going away for a really long time. I can remember missing my family when I was away for a week only because I had a hard time adjusting because I couldn't shower every night and I was home sick so there was a logical connection to it for why I would miss my family. But then when I started to adjust, I didn't miss them anymore. It just took me like three days to adjust. But I still don't understand why people would miss their families or friends if there is no reason to miss them and if you are busy and doing fine away from them and don't need them. I dunno if that counts as an abstract concept. I don't even miss my family because I don't need them.

I do not understand small talk. Yeah I know they do it because it's part of the social rules but I don't understand it. Why would I want to ask someone how are they and not want to hear an honest answer? Why would I want to ask someone how's the weather if I already know the answer. I can see it out the window, duh. I ask it if I am genuinely curious because I want to know if it got nicer outside or something. That is if I can't see the weather because there are no windows nor am I outside to see it. It makes sense to ask it online because you can't see their weather so you are curious what the weather is like where they are. But I do not understand why people ask it even if they know how the weather is. Abstract concept?
