It is mild enough to do some tidying in the garden - yay, hello sunshine.

8 deg C and not too windy.

Almost 60F, but raining. I have turned off all of the heaters except for the central furnace (set to 68F) and it's still 70F in my home. No, wait, I lie: 71F.

We need the rain, we need it badly. Couldn't do outside work anyway, with my knee acting up. So yay rain, and yay it's not too heavy all at once.

Pouring and gusting, lights are flickering. We're going on a picnic. Seriously.

Cloudy and in the upper 30's. We're supposed to get about 6 inches of snow tonight.

Then it's supposed to go up to 75 in some areas Wednesday/Thursday.

32F and already a good three inches of large, flat flakes. Having learned almost nothing from the last storm, I went out and swept my side porch. But I didn't sweep the paving stones. If it switches over to another ick storm, hopefully it'll be easier to break a crust of ice and shovel the snow beneath.

It's really lovely and so quiet.

It's cold enough that it's snowing outside. Expected to get 4-6 inches, followed by record breaking warm temperatures.

The weather here always reminds me of the Douglas Adams character, don't remember his name, may have been in Dirk gently. He was a rain God but didn't know it, and had categorized hundreds of different types of precipitation.
So right now, it's not quite light rain. More than heavy mist, but not foggy.

winter storm warning just lifted. people who don't know to slow down in snow caused accidents that shut down interstate roadways nearby.

We only got 3 inches in Queens. About 45 now. Most of the snow has melted.

We’re supposed to go up to 72 (22 Celsius) by Wednesday.
