Maybe I'm atypical, but I find flying calming and inspiring. Nothing surpasses the beauty of seeing nothing but miles upon miles of mountains, dusted in snow and shrouded in cloud. I am a huge atlas nerd, and I love seeing the places I read about from an aerial perspective.

I really hate planes. The claustrophobia, the anxiety (watch too much air crash investigation), being stuck in seat with hardly any room, the screaming kids, the kids that kick the seats, the germs and lack of fresh are (just knowing that the air has been tampered with for pressuring), being scared of getting air sick, getting an upset stomach and not being able to get to the toilet etc.

The last 2 times I had to fly for work, they had the tv screens in the back of the seat, so I could partially distract myself with a movie or two. I will not go on a plane unless my OH comes with me, which makes it rather awkward for work. ( I just go for the vulnerable female that needs help lifting heavy things perspective)
