^^ it's not that rare, my brother hates it and I was used to hate it as a kid (today i like it, but in small portions), yet the coriander is very used in the Lebanese and Levant cuisine. Not everyone can tolerate the strong taste of the cooked coriander leaves.

I seem to associate the taste of coriander with the smell of an extremely fat person's sweat after he came from the local gym.

I was using freshly ground dried coriander seeds. I am not sure I know what coriander leaves taste like, I don't remember having those. Do they taste the same as the seeds?

Here's what I had last night:

Rice Salad
White rice
Chopped purple cabbage
Grated carrot
Sprouted mung beans

Dressing
Extra virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Tahini (sesame seed paste)
Almond paste
Ground black pepper

Brown rice, chickpeas, broccoli, celery, carrots, cabbage. The sauce was comprised of Sichuan/Szechuan sauce, tamari (soya sauce), granulated garlic, marjoram, dried chillies, chili powder, sunflower seeds and poppy seeds.

It tasted very good, albeit quite spicy!

Fried tofu, caulliflower, celery. The tofu was seasoned with soya sauce, salt, pepper, turmeric and chili powder.

Left-over brown rice, sunflower seeds, chopped walnuts and almonds added at the end, after the heat was turned off, so they were only warm and not cooked.

Edit: noted that the brown rice was previously cooked. :-P

I baked 9 loves of rye bread at culinary school today.
It turned out very well.

Raven_Morris, You seem to be quite the chef. That would be considered food porn because my stomach wants to make love to that food.

Mmm, freshly baked breads! What ingredient is making some of the loaves dark brown or black?

Thanks, that's one of the most creative compliments I've ever heard!

That last photo I had to mess about a bit with the colour balance on the computer, as the original was too dark. I got the colours very close to what they looked like in real life. The turmeric and soya sauce really made the tofu a bright golden yellow/brown.

If you're in Vancouver, you're welcome to stop by for a bite to eat some time. :-)

Some of the baked potatoes were used to make spicy mashed potatoes. With the baked potatoes I mixed in part of the corn and fried brown rice dish, along with lots of Earth Balance spread, salt, and ground black pepper.

It tasted very nice, I'm going to go eat some more now! Om-nom-nom!
