It is interesting.

Dolphins are probably comparable to apes in the complexity of their social lives. So you would need a Jane Goodal, or a Dianne Fosse, devoting years- to studying dolphins properly in the wild. But it would have to be a mermaid version of Jane Goodall who could follow her subjects underwater for hundreds of miles.

Very fascinating stuff. The comment about dolphins being able to understand syntax was simply astonish and well beyond the scope of what I thought I knew.
