Well don't forget we've obligated ourselves to protect South Korea.... well forever I guess.

I suppose the same may be true now of Iraq and Afghanistan and now Libya. If we repeat the Iraq invasion trying to topple Mahmoud Ahmadinejad it will happen there to.

Where ever American goes to war we never leave. Decades after WW2 we still have bases in Germany and Japan.

Here's a solution: Stop getting involved in active combat action! Why does every single thing that happens in the world have to be US' problem? Cut military spending by 40% and you will be forced to stop invading so many countries to justify the gigantic military budget. As a benefit: You will have less dead soldiers and more soldiers in the US in case you are actually attacked.
